Moving phone from Virgin To Sky
Hello,
could someone answer this question? I have a BT box on wall that was activated 3 yrs ago, but decided to use Virgin. Now I would like to move phone to Sky, would I have to contact and pay BT line rental before I could consider moving to Sky, or will Sky just arrange for my BT box to be reconnected and I pay them line rental? ![]() Thanks |

Do you intend to keep your existing phone number or are you happy to get an entirely new one?
If you don't care about keeping your number you can call Sky and order a line from them any time. Tell them you have a disconnected BT line already installed and they should do the necessary. Once that is up and running you can cancel Virgin at your leisure. If you want to keep your number then you need to ask Sky about Porting the number from Virgin. Again this is something they should be able to arrange. And as with getting a new line/number simply tell them also that you have a disconnected BT line installed. It might also be worth telling Virgin what you are doing as well. |

One more thing if you move your number then don't put a cancellation request in with the old company as this puts a spanner in the works it happened to me before.

Just a heads up, Virgin very rarely let go of a number. Good luck.
