Series 10 or 11?
Now were 6 weeks in, which series would you say you prefer?
For me, it's last year - great line up, great partnerships, no comedy acts! I also liked seeing the likes of Dani, Michael and Nicky progressing, something which is sadly missing this year? Which series do you prefer?

Other way around for me - it's comfortably this year. I couldn't really engage with any of the contestants last year, probably only really liked Kimberley. Disliked DVO's attempts to deny her ringer status (she should have embraced it
), found Louis a bit mediocre as a dancer, and the dreaded Lisa Riley just managed to drag my enjoyment of the show down. This year I'm liking more of the contestants, in particular Natalie, Abbey, Ashley and Sophie. It's really just Dave and Susanna that I couldn't care less about. |

Last year was a really special series IMO. I was really digging it at the time. There's something not right this year - not sure what... Maybe it'll gain momentum though... I'm jot saying im not enjoying this hear though- I always love SCD!!

Series Ten because there were a couple of people I liked, whereas this year there's only one.

I always think each series is my favourite but this is the first series where that isn't the case. For me, last year was such a stand out year from the moment they announced the line up until the clif hanger final that, even though I am enjoying this year, I just don't care quite as much as I would normally.

Series 10 for me. Loved Louis and Flavia last year and them winning just made it all the better.
I am enjoying this series and like a few couples but don't have a clear favourite like I did last year although Natalie/Artem and Abbey/Aljaz are definitely the ones I look forward to seeing most on the Saturday. I was also always a really big fan of the pro dances before but even they are sadly lacking this year....I'm missing Flavia and Vincent so that alone is enough to make me choose series 10. |

I think this series' end-game could be far more interesting than last series', which was really dull, but the mid-table contestants aren't doing it for me all this series, outside of Mark. Patrick's dull, Fiona's "thing" is ****ing everything up in the most uninteresting way possible (which as gimmicks go isn't GREAT), Ben is getting so many SPORTSMAN points it's ridiculous, I'm one week off writing Rachel off, and Ashley's too on the edge of sliding into a coma to really be fun to watch.
Compare that with the joyous madness of Victoria, Michael and Richard and I'd take last series any day. |

Series 10 was a lot more competitive, and had the strongest cast in terms of star power we are likely ever to see.

Why just those two years though? I think this year is much better than most (while reserving the right to change my mind the minute Mark is voted out). I loved Louis last year, but was borderline uninterested in almost everyone else. This year I like almost everyone, though nobody who has a chance of lasting till the end as much as Louis. Six of one, etc.
I think I forget it all as soon as the year is over and move on to the next, to be honest. (Except for still saying rude things if I see Lisa Snowden.) |

I would Season 11 because there is more variety this year and more people who are like whereas series 10 was all about Louis for me and was so glad he won.

This year for me definitely.
The winner last year was a forgone conclusion, this year it is still wide open. Also didn't enjoy Louis' dancing and couldn't really get excited by anyone else. This year I am routing for Mark, OK he won't win but I will be happy with any of the female front runners. |

I suppose better in the sense that while Denise's ringerdom meant that she produced great dances while everyone else was still finding their feet, she wasn't so amazing (in fact she was downright bad at any dance that required hip action) that it was completely unrealistic that Kimberley, Louis and Dani could compete with her so the competition felt a bit more satisfying because there was a genuine jostling for who could be the best dancer. This year it seems like there's always going to be a huge gulf between Natalie and everyone else.
Also, I think this year lacks a genuine male competitor (I'll eat these words when Ashley lifts the glitterball, I'm sure). I was never a fan of Louis but Ashley is a huge come down as a leading man compared to him. |

For me, it's easily this series. I like all the contestants, they each bring something different to the show. The standard of dance is WAY higher so far (from the likes of Natalie, Abbey and Sophie), and many contestants still have potential to do well (Ashley, Susanna). Because of this, I reckon the final seven or so this year will be one of the best sets ever.

Series 10 for me - this series is completely underwhelming me at the moment, although it's difficult to put my finger on exactly why. To be honest I'm finding this year really very bland and (whisper it) a bit flat and boring. Last year was brilliant - and maybe that's the problem because this year can't live up to it.

This is the first serie where I like all the contestants. With the other series, they were always a few or a lot of contestants who annoyed me.
This serie is very exciting in the sense that any of the top 5 could win. Last year, I knew from the start that Louis was going to win. Just like Harry was the frontrunner in his season and so on...... |

Series 10 for me, the celebs were just better dancers and more interesting characters. They're all lovely this year, but soooo dull.

I much prefer this year, the celebs are more lively and - on the whole - very likeable, whereas I just found the majority of last year's line up being very dull.

How could you find Richard, Pendledrama, Vaughan, Miss Fun-Fun-Fun or Denise dull?!
![]() I loved last year's cast! I knew nine of them! (which is a lot for me )

As others have mentioned, it was obvious last year that Louis would win and he didn't do anything for me. Given that this was the case too in the previous year than I was not best pleased. I'm so glad that this year that there was no under 30s hot fit male.
However, the line up last year was incredible especially with Victoria and Kimberley. I was so excited when I heard about them - genius signings for the show. I also liked Denise as a ringer compared with Natalie (perhaps because I've not heard before of the latter). This year seems to be subtly understated where the celebs seem to be more mellow but still engaging. I'm enjoying seeing Anton with someone who wants to try and as said there's no obvious winner. The only thing I'd have changed is swapping Rachel and Deborah with their respective partners - would have been more interesting and 'fair'. |

I like more of them this year, but I like the actual performances a lot less.
