5Live boxing, 23.11.13 with Jonathan Overend live from the Manchester arena.
Karl Froch v George Groves: Mike Costello, Steve Bunce and Adam booth (David Hayes trainer and ex trainer of Groves) commentary.
A great night of boxing! Top work from both fighters and the commentary team. Can’t help feeling Groves was unlucky with the stoppage. The discussion between Robert McCracken (Froch’s trainer) and Adam Booth who wears his heart on his sleeve after the fight made for fascinating radio.

BBC Radio Nottingham carried commentary on the Carl Froch v George Groves fight last night - does anyone know whether they simulcast BBC Radio 5 Live's commentary or produced one of their own? I know for previous Froch fights Robin Chipperfield has commentated for Radio Nottingham, but going by Twitter I'm not sure he's involved in their sports coverage these days.

talkSPORT had Dom McGuinness reporting for them at the Manchester Arena last night. It was one of those evenings when talkSPORT comes into its own as a national sports radio station that has the platform to provide in-depth reaction to a big sporting talking point that commands instant interest. I listened for a few hours after watching the fight and they threw aside their usual plans for Football First and Extra Time in order to devote much of those shows to reaction to the fight, which included interviews with promoter Eddie Hearn and ring announcer John McDonald and plenty of caller reaction. They even took a call from the Sky Sports Box Office cameraman on the ring apron, giving his view as the closest person other than the referee to the stoppage, which in itself was a really interesting perspective of the fight. Great coverage of a truly memorable fight.

Normally they produce their own with commentary from Colin Fray and Robin Chipperfield but didn't listen last night so not sure. Robin will be back in a couple of weeks.

Scotland v South Africa - Ian Robertson & Gavin Hastings (Sports Extra commentary) Andy Gillies (5 Live)

Andrew Cotter tweeted that he was a 'late late late replacement', presumably for Conor McNamara who tweeted that his partner was in labour.

Sunday 24th November - Absolute Radio 90s

NFL on Absolute Radio 90s with Will Gavin and Dan Louw

American Football: NFL Week 12
Dallas Cowboys @ New York Giants - Kevin Ray and Danny White (9.25pm GMT commentary provided by Compass Media Networks)

Unfortunately Will misidentified Compass Media's play-by-play commentator as Kevin Burkhardt throughout the evening - although to be fair to him, Burkhardt (who was Compass' Cowboys commentator until the end of last year but is now an NFL commentator for Fox television as well as reporter on SNY's local coverage of the New York Mets MLB team) is still listed on the Compass Media and Dallas Cowboys websites as being their commentator with Danny White on these games.

The Compass Media Networks coverage of the Dallas Cowboys is an interesting one, it's not the Cowboys Radio Network but is an alternative national service covering the team that is syndicated to various local stations in the US outside of the Cowboys' local market. Compass also provide a similar service for the Oakland Raiders and Major League Baseball teams the Los Angeles Angels and Tampa Bay Rays.

Test Match Special: The Ashes, the First Test

Commentators: Jonathan Agnew, Simon Mann, Jim Maxwell, with occasional commentary stints from Simon Hughes

Summarisers: Michael Vaughan, Geoffrey Boycott, Vic Marks and Glenn McGrath

Reporter: Mark Pougatch

Henry Blofeld has tweeted that he will be in Australia for the final three tests and Ed Smith has been billed as commentating too, but has yet to appear. It also seems that Alison Mitchell and Charles Dagnall will commentate on the ODI's following the test series; this marks a change from last time when they essentially took ABC commentary with Simon Mann joining their team and filling the TMS interval breaks.

Friday 29th November - BBC Radio Wales

Rick O'Shea presenting Radio Wales Sport alongside Gareth Llewellyn

Rugby Union: Pro12
Newport Gwent Dragons v Munster - Andy Moore
Ospreys v Glasgow Warriors - Paul Williams

Apologies to Ian Cleverly if I've stolen his thunder, although I notice he hasn't posted for more than a week now so I thought I'd grab some of the Radio Wales information in his absence.

*The reason why Rupert Bell was reporting from otherwise ordinary race meetings at Chepstow and Towcester was because he was covering AP McCoy's efforts to ride his 4,000th winner. Rupert did an off-air commentary on the closing stages of McCoy's landmark win in the 3.10 during the Towcester meeting which talkSPORT ran on their news bulletins that evening.

Sunday 9th December - Absolute Radio 90s

NFL on Absolute Radio 90s with Will Gavin and Dan Louw

American Football: NFL Week 14
Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers - Tom McCarthy and Rod Woodson (9.25pm GMT commentary provided by Westwood One)

Initially, but later...

American Football: NFL Week 14
Seattle Seahawks @ San Francisco 49ers - Ted Robinson and Eric Davis (9.25pm GMT commentary provided by KNBR - "The US Bank 49ers Radio Network")

I haven't listened to much of AR90s' NFL coverage tonight, so I'm not sure when the commentary switch was made or what prompted it, but when I tuned in during the first quarter AR90s were carrying the national radio feed from Westwood One and when I returned during the fourth quarter they were carrying the 49ers Radio Network feed. Anyone who listened for longer than me know the reason for the change?

Absolute Radio 90s' NFL commentaries for the final three weeks of the regular season have been confirmed on their website - it'll be the Green Bay Packers @ Dallas Cowboys next Sunday, Pittsburgh Steelers @ Green Bay Packers on Sunday 22nd December and Kansas City Chiefs @ San Diego Chargers on Sunday 29th December.

No Glenn McGrath for Adelaide, he will be back at some point for at least one more test in the series, probably the SCG because of 'Jane McGrath Day'(which is an excellent cause).

Radio Sport (New Zealand), December 2013

Cricket: New Zealand v West Indies, Three Test Match Series

Commentators: Bryan Waddle, Malcolm Jordan and Daniel McHardy
Summarisers: Jeremy Coney, Glenn Turner (First Test only: University Oval, Dunedin), Ervin McSweeney (Second Test only: Basin Reserve, Wellington) and Grant Bradburn (Third Test only: Seddon Park, Hamilton)

Along with the ever-present Jeremy Coney, Radio Sport's secondary summarisers have been former Black Caps who are local to the grounds hosting each Test. Bryan Waddle is as ever Radio Sport's lead commentator, with Malcolm Jordan doubling up as their presenter and link man. Daniel McHardy is a newcomer to the Radio Sport Test cricket commentary team, I believe he primarily covers football and rugby union and is a pitchside reporter on the station's live coverage of those sports.

There has been no touring commentator or summariser from the West Indies joining the Radio Sport team, although KLAS ESPN Sports FM 89 in Jamaica are simulcasting their commentary. I don't think the Line and Length Network, which syndicates a cricket commentary service across various stations in the Caribbean, are covering the series.

Test Match Special: The Ashes, the Third Test

Commentators: Jonathan Agnew, Simon Mann, Henry Blofeld and Ed Smith

Summarisers: Geoffrey Boycott, Michael Vaughan and Glenn McGrath

Reporter: Mark Pougatch

Vic Marks and Jim Maxwell were rotated out of the TMS team for this game; as Simon Mann is flying home we can expect a four man commentary team of Agnew, Blofeld, Maxwell and Smith for the remaining two games. I suspect they need four commentators as Aggers is working for ABC radio and Blowers is going to work for the commercial radio stations offering ball-by-ball coverage of the ashes.
