I didn't read the whole thread - but op I'd be getting bloods done before thinking about meds. I saw someone mention the thyroid earlier, but also check liver function, it can be a contributor.

Yes, I'm okay - just very sad - and thank you for asking. We do have another girlie dog which helps a great deal. And, yes, get all the bloods done op as there are many things that can cause fits besides it just being epilepsy itself.

jammoon1 I am sorry to hear your sad news. But I know I would not let my dog suffer either, if his fits get to often and he does not have quality of life, we would make this hard decision too.

And thank you for website, and thanks to everyone on thread, lots to take on board, but lots of helpful info, the bloods came back as 'normal' apart from digestive, but we're changing his diet to a more sensitive food, he's eating it and seems good, but if he continues with fits, I shall definitely ask for a more thorough testing, once again, appreciate everyones input x

Thanks Rocket Queen, he was a great dog and will be missed. Hopefully, yours won't have any more fits, or, if he does, he will be able to be controlled or you will find the cause. We were just unlucky as most dogs lead a normal life, even if it just turns out to be epilepsy.
