I'm over the wall to Yorkshire Sleeps Can you believe it is 12 months since I went up to Scotland with my daughter? I'm hoping to go up to Fort William at some point

Awesome I just generally help get the children out of the hoists and onto whatever support they need, 'holding' the children around the pool, stuff like that I enjoy it and well worth the body aching to see their smiles

Thanks Crazy...I had been dreading it but I managed to behave with a bit of decorum....for once

Don't blame you, I dreaded it last year but it was better than I expected and everyone was mighty glad when it was over

The flowers were beautiful, Crazy. When we went into the chapel it smelt like a florist, as all the flowers from a previous service had been donated to the chapel. So I donated mum's to it, so others can enjoy them....she would have liked that. She hated waste!!

Awwwww bless. We asked for family flowers only (two bouquets in the end) and if anyone wanted to, they could donate money which went to Leukemia research, we raised nearly £700 from family/funeral/selling her stuff

That's a great total Crazy! Mum's donations are to go to Marie Curie. We only had three family flowers, then her old neighbours sent some and one of my cousins. Not sure we will get to £700 for mum's charity, but hopefully £500 by the end

That'll be lovely We only got near to the amount we did as we sold a lot of her stuff (rest went to charities) which obviously helped.

Where is everyone tonight?

Not sure, Crazy! I hadn't thought of selling things, but will think on....might be a good thing to do

Thought about you all day but didn't text as did not know the time and such. Tis done and now to cherish memories of course People go but they remain in your thoughts and your heart that is all that is needed xx

That is so lovely Twass, I know when it was my mum's I really wanted to say Goodbye to her and took it all in, every bit. It's a pleasant memory I hope that is the same for you

In a sense, I said my Goodbyes on the day she passed, seeing it happen really gave me the sort of closure some folk need a funeral to get.....it will seem very odd not to be going off the the home to see her, and weird not to be buying tons of wine gums, polo mints and chocolates for her insatiable sweet tooth!!

I totally understand that, as hard as it is being there does give you closure it did for me. It will be hard thinking of those things and not needing to buy them.....mine was the phone, it was always my mum on the phone.......could she yack!!! But I missed and still miss her yacking so much.
