I'm with Three Mobile. I have the iPhone 5 on The Ultimate Internet 500 plan on a 24-month contract and I want to know what happens at the end of it? Does it carry on as normal?

Also what happens with upgrades? Do I get a discounted price for a new phone or something?

If you don't cancel it (with 30 days notice)it will continue as normal.give them a call to give notice and see what their cancellation department offers you.Play hard ball and don't except the first phone they offer,they want your money.

Unfortunately I'm not due an upgrade until halfway through 2015 but I'm wondering am I better going to a 3 store or would I be better doing it over the phone? This is my first contract so I'm absolutely confused as to what happens at the end of a contract.

You're worried what will happen in 2 years?

when does your contract end,if it's 2015 then you only started it this year then your stuck with the phone you have.

I just want to be sure I know the process of getting an upgrade because at the end of the contract term I won't be sticking with the iPhone 5 obviously because the battery won't last as long by then and I'll need a faster phone anyway.

I think it ends in April 2015 as I took it out around April time this year. I know I'm stuck with this phone until then, I don't mind that. It's fine for now.

No you won't be automatically signed up for another 2 years (unless you want to). They will just continue your contract on a month by month basis until you decide to cancel with them by giving them a months notice or negotiate another contract with them.

Oh okay that will do me. I'll have to have a look at what other phones are out at the time of the contract. I might wait a couple of months because when my contract ends the new iPhone comes out a few months later.

You can upgrade or downgrade in the last 30 days of your contract. If you want to upgrade beforehand you have to pay for the number of months left in the contract, minus a 10% discount. If you don't upgrade you will go on to a monthly contract. I downgraded to a sim only deal for £18 a month as I didn't want to be tied in for 12 months.

on my three account it says I am due an upgrade on jan 07, 2014. I took the contract out feb 14, 2012. It says I can upgrade online then so I am assuming I will follow the online instructions I know what I am going to get and the price plan so hope I can do that. You can also go into the store if you want to cancel earlier but there is a cancellation fee .

Well I meant that my contract ends in April so I may as well wait until September for the iPhone to see if it's any good.
