Ok. So I signed up for the £46 per month tariff last month prior to the new plans. I have spoken to EE and they said if I want double speed I need to upgrade to the £47.99 plan? Is this correct ? Also does my plan include roaming for free or not ? As the £47.99 does ?

Some of the tariffs include "Double Speed" others do not.

If you signed up before they re-launched their tariffs you SHOULD get Double Speed 4G in select towns and cities (if you check out their coverage page it'll specify whether or not where you live has been enabled.) I'm on their £41 a month SIMO agreement and am still getting speeds of up to 50 meg.

As for the roaming option that is only available to anyone signing up from October 30 2013 through January 31 2014.
