Any of the ballrooms she should have this week are a safe bet - Brendan can choreograph those just fine. Hopefully an American Smooth or Tango, as those'll have the best 'wow' factor which would be good after the last two weeks.

Brendan used twitter to disregard Darcey's comments last year too. Why he seems to take more issue with her constructive criticism over some of the nonsense spouted by other judges I don't know.

I've realised it's getting to the point where I'm only really interested in finding out what dance Natalie has next. Maybe Abbey too.

For those wondering why I mentioned Darcey with Brendan's tweet is because Darcey was the one who went on about Sophie having bent knees throughout the routine and that she needed to straighten her leg more; hence why I thought it was a bit of a reaction to both that comment and maybe he's been getting some grief from others about it.

Elsewhere on Twitter -

Karen: 'let's whip it and reverse it! #boomchakalaka'
Anton: 'thought we were a little under marked'

Good grief, imagine Dave doing the quickstep... he'll have to move.

Same. I hope Natalie has the jive.

More accurately, Anton, you and Fiona were marked about right and many of the others were shockingly overmarked. Patrick, Ben and Susannah being the most obvious. Maybe Ashley too as his scores didn't remotely match his comments so one or both of them had to be wrong.

But he really has to try and get Fiona to accept and take criticism better. There's more to getting it right than not getting your steps wrong. You also have to get them in time - which she wasn't. So she really should accept the criticism graciously and try and fix it for next time rather than sulking and whining. And I say that as someone who dearly wants to see Anton stay in a while yet!

Personally I think Patrick deserved his marks far more than Ben, Susannah and even Abbey.

Seconded. Although I'd have given Ashley more than all of them.

That's how I'd put it. Their score was correct based on previous performances, but their leaderboard position was one or two too low. I'd have put Ben beneath them at least (oo err).

I'd say their score was about correct, I'dve definitely put Ben below them - imo, he's probably one of the most, if not the most, overmarked contestants ever.

Sophie's dance "very exciting" according to her Twitter - since she should have ballroom, of the ones she has left I'm more inclined to think she does indeed have AS or tango as opposed to quickstep or viennese. She also says "lovely" so maybe not tango though.

The last bit is not about the dance though (she is just happy to still be in it).

Though I do agree that AS or tango is more likely.

Probably a nice foxtrot AS.

On the matter of scoring - and in particular comparing Ben's with Fiona's scores: I would assume that they mark each contestant in comparison to their previous performances/dances. In this respect think Ben has improved more than Fiona even though I agree that he's over marked. Anton has played as safe, if not safer, than Kristina in his choreography for Fiona. He's not been criticised as much but it remains the case that his choreography helps cover some of her flaws.

On the matter of the dances this week just passed. Fiona had swivel but their charleston was under whelming and did not capture the 'character' of the dance.

Abbey and Aljaz are on ITT tomorrow so we will know their dance.

I'm pretty sure that Sophie has a ballroom.

Abbey & Aljaz -
Ashley & Ola - Quickstep (Ola's Twitter)
Ben & Kristina - Jive (Ben's Twitter)
Dave & Karen -
Fiona & Anton -
Mark & Iveta - Rumba (Mark's Twitter)
Natalie & Artem -
Patrick & Anya -
Sophie & Brendan -
Susanna & Kevin -

Updated list with Ashley's routine added.

EDIT: Dave confirms that he has a Ballroom dance this week. (so his options are Foxtrot, Quickstep, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Argentine Tango - my guess is maybe Quickstep or Tango, based on him saying 'bust some Ballroom shapes' and Karen saying 'let's turn on the burners'. Quickstep is probably more likely from Karen's tweet)

from Karen's remarks on twitter about whip and reverse - could well be V. Waltz

That's true and it could be a decent one for them to have, but I had hoped that Fiona might get that this week.

Wikipedia says that Susanna made a comment on BBC Breakfast that she's doing paso doble. Did anyone see this?
