Does 3 really offer unlimited data?

I'm looking at switching to 3 on account of their "all you can eat data," but I've heard of various people claiming that any unlimited data plans have catches or secret limits. I've looked all over their website for any conditions and there doesn't seem to be any - they even seem to allow tethering.

Does anybody have this plan on 3 and have any issues with caps or limits, or do they really mean "unlimited"?

It really is truly unlimited even my fixed line isn't that which I find funny for some odd reason. If you want tethering though you need be on The One Plan.

Only the one plan allows unlimited tethering. If you're on any other plans you have to purchase a tethering add on. I've used between 50-70gb a month for the past 6 months with no issues.

Three are the only mobile network that knows the meaning of the word "unlimited". Unlike the other networks.

Three have said in their sales blurb that technically it is limited, to how much you can physically burn through in a month, giving an example that maxed out 24/7 for a month would get through about 1 terabyte. Not sure how that may change when 4G comes along!

Even though not specifically limited there may be other factors such as contention on your nearest mast, and traffic management that may have real impact on your actual experience.

You could probably get alot more than that using it 24-7 possibly 5-7TB (10Mbps X24-7 Gives approx 3.3TB Per Month) three's network is much faster than that (depending on location)

this is the reason Three use "all-you-can-eat" instead of the "unlimited" tag some of the networks use, because its truly unlimited
