Time For The Walnut Pickler To Go?

Anyone else tired of his scripted one-liners and ridiculous marking? He is supposedly the 'head judge' and he thought Ben's Paso and Sophie's Charleston were both worth 9? That would take a little bit of explaining.

Surely nobody would miss his smug piece to camera on Sunday saying what a great show it was (even if it obviously wasn't) and the dreadful five-minute filler that is Len's Lens?

I agree to a point.... If your feet are under the table with the Beeb... You are set for life it seems! However if they ever do get rid of Len, they must replace him with a Judge from the real Ballroom dance world........ The trouble with Len is he is starting to believe his own publicity.....

I was confused last night - I thought Len was supposed to be the King of Ballroom - and therefore judging on technicalities like heel leads. He seems to have decided he's only interested in the entertainment value and it's starting to annoy even me (absolutely no dance experience AT ALL) that they are choosing to ignore poor posture, poor frame, spatulistic (!) hands and so on.

Bruce is good live, with the audience, for the record. But I agree he comes over badly on camera because he struggles with the autocue. But the BBC aren't daft, they wouldn't let him carry on for season after season if they didn't think he was up to it, or if they thought he was damaging the show overall.

The BBC love Len, they even gave him a programme to present about Harland and Wolff, the Belfast shipbuilding company, on the strength of his past "experience."

This was limited to being a "failed apprentice welder" as a teenager, err.. in London.

I think Sophie's Charleston did deserve a 9, but I agree with you on Ben's Paso.

I think the point the OP was making was that Sophie's Charleston did deserve a 9, and it was in an entirely different league to Ben's paso.

Len's gone from the dance competition judge to the dance-academy owning duffer's friend and you can hardly get a critical comment out of his teeth with a toothpick.

Len chooses his favourite celebrities from as early as the launch show, and as the weeks go by he awards the relevant scores regardless of the quality of their dances. His favouritism knows no bounds, and is therefore turning the show into a farce.

Len annoys me, I cringe everytime he comes out with his cheesy one liners 'yum yum pigs bum, pickle me walnuts etc' not only is not funny it's stupid, as the only qualified ballroom/Latin dancer he should be giving good advice not these silly comments.

His marking all over the place, and you can tell when he favours one celeb over another, he'll overlook what they've done but pick up on it for someone else. What I hate the most is when he gets angry if the audience disagree with him but at the same gets angry at Craig for having an opinion.
