Why can't they just be honest with us? They record 5 shows in a day, e.g. "For you it's Wednesday, here in TV land we've just had lunch..."”
Did Countdown myself, just over five weeks between my recording and the show going out. At that rate the Countdown programme going out on say Friday 1 November would have been recorded around 25 September, when the series hadn't even started, so no way they could talk about Rachel's efforts.
Disappointed at Rachels's exit. Big Countdown fan, don't have the hots for her, but nonetheless wanted to see how a professed non-dancer could get on, and I reckon she did pretty well, perhaps deserving to last two or three more weeks on merit. Unfortunately these talent shows do throw up silly voting, viz Gabby Logan, Sabrina Bryan on DWTS and Maria Lawson, Laura White and Lucie Jones on XFactor.
If any knocked out contestant got really interested in dance there's no reason why they can't do dances classes in their own time later on.
