Is Sam C the joke act this year?
At the start I thought it was Shelley .
Now it seems maybe it's Sam he's the "joke" act. The singer who's average but survives a few weeks on X Factor even though judges or people think he should leave. They generally last until about week 6/7. Is Sam the joke act? X Factor is very unpredictable this year. |

IMO hes no worse than Abbi
I wouldn't call him a "joke act," but he's the weakest singer. He's the Frankie Cocozza of this year, except without the drugs, sex and unpleasantness. |

How the hell he got through I have no idea. I'm gutted Kingsland have left, they were by yards, my favourite but neither they nor Tamara should have been in the bottom two.

This is why they shouldn't bother with a joke act and just let things develop. Sam C isn't a joke act and there are worse singers in the charts, but he's rubbish on the show and if he continues to get through at the expense of better singers then it'll cause a bit of a stir.

I mean he's being treated or made into that act this year but he's just average.

Him and Abi both the joke acts. People always vote for the people who can't dance or sing in these shows.

Nah I wouldnt say so. But he is by far the weakest singer of them all.
He seems a nice enough lad. And so far noone great has left. When people like Nicholas or Tamera get sent home and Sam is still there, then its time to worry

I don't think we have any joke acts this year, Abi has her own style and she is better when she sticks to it and Sam readily admits he is not the best singer but he is a good looking lad who the girls will love just as much for his looks and body as for his music , what he needs as Gary rightly said is to choose the right songs to show him off better in his style.

Nothing against him personally - seems nice enough sort of guy- but Paul should be there instead if him. But Paul was fat and not a pretty boy so the producers did their usual shallow shit.

I agree, but ,having said that, if there had been a joke act to compare them to this year, neither would seem like a contender for the description in comparison. Both are limited vocally, but be fair. They each have a niche they can sound reasonably good performing in, and don't seem like "jokes". |

I dont think you can call either joke acts. Rylan and Jedward were joke acts. Sam C just isnt as good a singer as the others, doesnt mean he is a joke and Abi well to me she is down to peoples personal preference, some people will love what she does, some wont but it doesnt make her a joke act either.

It takes two to tango. I can't see him playing along that route.
