Elephant in the Room or Missed Shots
Tamera's Bottom 2 appearance was a shock. After Hannah's appearance last week, I expected a predictable result. When Dermot announced Sam Callahan and Hannah as the first two acts safe, I realised that we could be in for another shocker. It became more apparent when all the Boys were called safe while Nicole still had two Girls. Betsfactor theorised that the "star crazy" (which reeks of desperation or something iirc) staging (and the song) booked her a spot in the B2. Week 3's "impersonation" remark could have compounded that, as well, considering that she had the pimp slot. Which brings me to my question:
Do you think that Hannah's fire and Tamera's star crazy were deliberate moves that went unnoticed as they threw everything but the kitchen sink (including a boxing ring, hello) at Sam C. (who performed before Hannah last week and after Tamera this week) and colour vomited on KR? OR Did they just miss the mark twice (thanks to Gary Barlow's poor delivery of criticism; this would never have happened with Simon, whose gun shots seem to hit all the time-- ask Aiden)? |

I wouldn't like to speculate on motives for the harsh criticism but I think last week's comments to Abi and this week's to Sam motivated people to support them. I wonder how long that support will stick in terms of votes. I think both sets of fans know that a bottom two place is very dangerous for either act at the moment. The only time one would be saved, imo, is if they were against each other. I think fans get this too so I expect them to continue voting for their acts. This can only favour Nicholas and Sam B as their numbers are clearly v high. I wonder what Rough Copy and Luke are polling. Hannah must be a danger for b2 again next week if she continues shouting. If she is one, who will the other be?
Right now the producers appear to have lost control. Makes it very interesting. |

The influential mass voting in these talent shows is very conservative. No matter how it's delivered, Wishing on a Star is not a song that will inspire the normal voters to burn up the lines. It may, however, show versatility/credibility for the long term, which may benefit longevity in a music career, rather than a talent show win, where the consumers are a different demographic. Once the ballads and the belt-friendly tunes are back in place, more of the traditional voters will get behind it.

I think there is a very strong possibility that Tamera and Hannah's vote is being split.
