Anyone seen the new VW car advert?

What did you think to the end part?
It really upset me.
My last dog was thrown out of a car on a country road and chased the car as long as she could. We took her in and had her for many happy years.

Keep an eye out for the advert and see if you think the same or if I am over reacting due to the circumstances we got our last dog

Strange I mentioned the same to our friends at the weekend.

It's a poor advert for unrestrained dogs. Mine have always been caged.

We have a doggy seatbelt for ours. I have had letter back from ASA, they have had complaints about the advert only 38 so not many but funnily enough I haven't seen it since.

Thanks for the warning. I will make sure I don't watch the advert. Sounds pretty horrific.

I thought you were going to mention the one where the bloke at the parlour makes the dog look like a psychedelic fawn - which made me smile.

Upsetting? Horrific? You people seriously need to get a life. Writing to the asa about that advert. FFS.

There's no suggestion that the dog has been abandoned in the ad, and I'm sure that is not what VW intended people to think.

It's supposed to be a cute ad about the daft things dogs find amusement in, like chasing things, and sticking their heads out of car windows, in a daft sort of way.

The dog running after the car does leave me feeling a bit sad though, even though I think its supposed to be having fun.

I can certainly see how it would upset the OP if she has rescued an abandoned dog.
