I hope not. Suzanna puts energy into the dances and learns the technique but she cannot yet use her body artistically. Natalie can clearly do that but others are ahead of Suzanna too.

But even that comes across as fake (for me anyway).

She's pure marmite and I'm on the loathing side. I was gutted when I found out she was on my favourite programme.

My wish is a Natalie and Susanna Reid dance off this weekend. Goodbye Susanna Reid!”

.

I do agree she's not that bad a dancer (better than Dave at any rate). And I like Kevin. But I've taken to f-fwding her dances.

I just don't get the hate people have for the celebs. Maybe if Anthea Turner was on I might!

It's funny because I've been saying that I don't mind which of the probable final contenders wins - but I'm thinking Natalie, Abbey, Sophie and Ashley when I say that, Susanna just never comes to mind for some reason. For me (to my very untrained eye) she has plenty of ghusto but lacks finesse. Kevin is a very 'full on' dancer though so maybe it is something he hasn't perfected yet either.
I love Sophie but I think if she dosn't raise her game quickly (and I do feel she has it in her) then Susanna would easily take her place. I'm not keen on Susanna - don't hate her or even dislike her - she just irritates me sometimes for some reason. Maybe it is that Marmite thing.

Yes, Susanna has a lot of rought edges still. Kevin doesn't quite know to dance-'down' to her level yet. That's true as well.

I didn't know Susanna at all before Strictly, or obviously Kevin.

I think they have a fantastic partnership and I love Kevin.

But.....she is really grating on me now in a head girl, jolly hockey sticks kind of way....annoying.

That's exactly the feeling I'm getting too.
Plus.... Susanna and Kevin do appear to have a good dancing partnership and I do like Kevin. With an other partner, I would probably be wanting him to at least make the final.

But somehow the partnership doesn't seem right - to me it's like a son teaching his mum how to dance.
And when he lifts her, it always looks as if he is only just managing it... Not that she's heavy - but Kevin still has that adolescent build...

I personally don't think Susanna is a strong enough...or interesting enough contender to win. And I hope I'm right.

Now what I hope for is for Sophie to get her act together quickly. I really want her to make the final.

I agree with you.

I don't mind Susanna but I can't bear Kevin and they both seem to feed off one another in a way that I find incredibly irritating.

I agree with everyone who says she appears to be a lot more popular outside this forum and I can kind of understand why viewers like her. She reminds me a bit of Lisa Riley: she throws herself into every dance with unselfconscious enthusiasm and sells every dance well enough to distract from the messy technique. However, Susanna doesn't have the same physical limitations as Lisa so doesn't really have much excuse for poor technique.

Partly because I really think that someone needs to tell them to tone down the performance a little and polish up the dances - but that's just my taste. But also because it would give her more of a story, something she can achieve.”

Unfortunately I think Kevin himself as a very over the top style of dancing and performing and I think is encouraging her, particularly in the Latin dances, to focus on delivering a "fun" performance rather than polished technique. Maybe they both need some harsh criticism from the judges to encourage them to tone it down.

Have to grin at the comments on 'technique' whilst Kevin's performance might seem OTT technique is sound and most other Dance Teachers I know think so too

I don't think posters here thus far were saying Kevin lacks techniques, I think only those pretend dance experts harped about this elsewhere. But I believe they are implying Kevin appear to allow Susanna go for performance at the expense of finessing her techniques, ala Lisa Riley of yore...

Oh get your point !! but don't think she is as full on as lisa and def has better technique think she is improving week on week - like a lot of them are.

As a dance teacher I prefer someone over the top as it is much easier to get them to gradually calm it down than to get someone who cannot let go to let go

No, I don't think he was serious about being the black sheep, I'm sure his Mum & Dad are tremendously proud of him (Bendy can clarify that better than me I think???)

He was referring to the fact that Mum & Dad Clifton were ex-champions, sister Joanne is also doing very nicely thank you, but he left the competition field for stage and performance. [A loss to British dancing].

Was Kevin ever a professional ballroom dancer who has won any national, regional or international dance competitions in his life before he left the 'competition field'? Most interested to know...

As a junior with his sister Joanne they won every major title there was splitting when they joined the youth ranks (kevin to specialise in latin and Joanne Ballroom (she is professional World no 1 with Paulo Bosco of Italy) )after that
Kevin was World Youth NO 1 and 4 times British Latin Champion and has won international titles all over Europe

He was married to Clare Craze with whom he originally joined Burn the floor with in 2008 and was part of the cast that made the Broadway debut to much acclaim - has danced on DWTS over there too

love this showreel of Claire with Kevin with his long hair http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ivn_Pv5_vc0

It's a sense of deja vu. I think I have seen his credentials posted here before in the past but up till you point out his achivements just now I had somehow blanked those info out! Gosh, he's more than accomplished pro dancer for SCD as far as his CV goes!
