How easy is it to go from Contract (pay monthly) to PAYG

to go from PAYG to Contract?

Some friends were asking and: they want to keeping their number.

Contract to PAYG can be hard, depending on network. Almost all networks let you go from PAYG to contract without any hassle.

Often it's easier to go from contract to PAYG on another network and then port the number back to the original network!

The main obstacle in going from PAYG to contract will be the credit check. Pass that though and networks will happily upgrade PAYG customers to contract.

Going from contract to PAYG depends on the network although I think most will allow it. However this can obviously only be done once the contract's minimum term is completed

I've done this in the past with no problems, I think it was orange at the time. My parents have both moved from contract to payg too.

Any problems with poor customer service just request your PAC and move networks.

Everytime i have cancelled a contract i have been asked if i wanted to keep the number as Pay as you go, so I'm guessing its very easy to go Contract -> Pay as you go
