Spreads for toast
There are so many delicious spreads for toast, and the range seems to just keep on expanding. As a child I remember the options being Marmite, marmalade, jam, chocolate spread if you were lucky, and marshmallow Fluff if you were ultra lucky.
In the last week I've tried two new things - salted caramel spread and Lotus biscuit spread. Both delicious. What new spreads have you found? Or do you just enjoy the old classics? And, jam - seeds or no seeds? |

I'm quite old fashioned, marmite is my all time fave. As I've got older though I've started to enjoy orange marmalade but it has to have lots of rind in it.
I used to quite like Shippams/Princes paste, and also Heinz Toast Toppers

Now and then I can't resist Toast Toppers. God only knows what's in it.

Black Treacle is my all time favourite
I also have jam, lemon curd, peanut butter Haven't had marmalade for a long time so I might try that next now that I've been reminded of it My memory is that for my entire childhood and teenage years our family only ever had treacle or Bramble Seedless jam ! I'm a bit more adventurous these days and seek out the unusual jams like 'Rhubarb and Ginger' from M&S |

My favourite is a spread called Kaya. It's a coconut jam popular in SE Asia.

Yes! Not unsalted, not slightly salted, but SALTED! Anything else should be illegal.
