Jedward for me, pure genius and they are still around, which Wagner who I found sleazy is not.

I also liked Wagner's Beatles performance until he started doing my fave song (Hey Jude), but the Cheryl aftermath was much better!

Another vote for Loaf Shack. Absolutely genius, the whole thing just got more and more bizarre but brilliantly bizarre.

Close second was Jedward's Oops I Did It Again. I think the moment they started doing the 'I got something for you' part in the totally shit half hearted American accents was when I realised how wonderful they were.

There is only one and that is Soulyroots who i thought was wonderful. Just a great personality.

Great performances in a train wreck TV sort of way, but absolutely fascinating all the same. You simply can't tear your eyes away from the unfolding madness. Good fun though, and a nice break from the standard "worthy but dull" types that fill out these kinds of shows. If anything, having joke acts makes you appreciate the "talent" of the other acts even more.

Wagner's Love Shack (lol, I shiver imperceptibly on typing that ), and Jedward's Oops I Did It Again are the standouts.

That week had red and black, fire, and no Louis to defend them... yet they were the top group (low standards, though, but still). Go Jedward!

The following week (She Bangs) has colour vomit, vampy women and disjointed camerawork and they still go through.

These boys are indestuctible. They cannot be killed. They just won't die.

I bet tptb thought it was going to be easy, lambs to the slaughter.

Louis called it brilliantly.

James Arthur doing "lets get it on" was unintentionally hilarious. For me, James was the best ever joke act because he genuinely believed he was a "credible artist". At least jedward, rylan and Wagner knew they were just having a laugh! James's lack of self- awareness made him the ultimate comedy act.

I've just had to rewatch it again and I am nearly pissing myself. The complete inability to sing their lines at the same time and dance at the same time, along with that deeply incestuous-like "I got something for you.." part.

Definitely my favourite car crash performance

Rylan's mash up of Groove is in the Heart, Pump Up the Jam and Gangnam style is the first performance that comes to mind when I think of last year. That's how bad the series was for me!

Nicole predicted that many babies would be conceived as a result of that performance. I suppose that's meant in a "I would rather give birth than listen to James' voice" way!

Cheryl was a right dick to him.

Love how desperate Louis is to keep him out of the bottom just to piss off the other judges.

Really missing a joke act this year who is genuinely funny rather than painful (Sam C)
