So, reports are spreading like wildfire that Lady Gaga will be heading too space with Virgin Galactic in 2015 too preform. She will have extensive vocal training too deal with the atmosphere up there.

Various reports around the internet, I'll just post the first one I see on Google.

Also, her twitter. She says confirmation of said rumors, whether true or not will be at her album launch but earlier on she did tweet #GagaInSpace2015

This would be quite an extraordinary thing too do and such a fantastic honor in my opinion.

Bonkers. Bitch better use that promo to debut a new single.

Even if this goes wrong - what a way to go!

Can I be hopeful of a 'Gravity'-like situation?

She should maybe film a music video for VENUS while she's at it.

Knowing her luck, Katy Perry will perform at the centre of the earth and beat her to a number 1

Yeah... That's why she's doing it. Not like it's an amazing opportunity or anything.

Lady Gaga copying again . Sarah Brightman this time. She is really going into space, to the International Space Station, the real deal, instead with Virgin Galaxy. And yes, she is also planning to sing.

The classically trained singer is interested in participating in experiments that look at what happens in her body when she sings in space. And she wants to create an international concert in which she joins in from the space station.

Yes I'm sure that's the only reason she's doing it

I'm sure when offered the opportunity she said 'Oh no wait I can't, because Sarah Brightman is already doing it.'

It's an amazing opportunity and I don't think any artist would turn it down.

Why her ? Why not give the opportunity to some up and coming person, this woman doesn't need anymore attention.

Offered? Lol

I'm sure she has paid a lot of money to get that opportunity in the first place

I thought it will be a suborbital flight too, but wow, this is amazing... Take me with you Sarah, pretty please...

She confirmed in her Sirius XM interview that they asked her and she isn't paying for it as it's not a celebrity commercial flight, it's custom for performance.

Why anybody would want to do this I don't know. The idea of space flight terrifies me.

Looks like everyone's forgotten Commander Chris Hadfield beat them all to it on 1st February when he played a composition by himself and Ed Robertson of Barenaked Ladies, “I.S.S. (Is Somebody Singing)”. Ed and singers from a Canadian school The Wexford Gleeks performed it along with him in Toronto while he was on the ISS.

And there's his performance on the ISS May 5th this year doing a new version of Bowie's 'Space Oddity' - with him on guitar and produced by Emm Gryner, who plays with Bowie.
