Back in the dim and distant past I had an APBT called Dante, it seemed fitting for the way he looked, but he was a sweetie in reality

I had gerbils who had the names salt and pepper.

It worked really well until pepper died. Then i had to explain to people why i had a gerbil called salt.

I had 2 dwarf hamsters once called Posh and Becks - even though they were both boys!

My now ex boyfriend and me also bought 2 gerbils once, couldn't decided what to name them, so named them both after our annoying little brothers

I have a lovely cat called Ferguson. He was a cat that someone else didn't want so I had him. I love him to bits but...I'm an Arsenal fan.

It really grates on me when I call him in

One of my cats is called Loopy. She was called that when I adopted her.

Certainly makes me look rather odd when I have to go out and call her.....

People used to laugh at our late Duncan's name and now they laugh at Betty not entirely sure why they seemed like normal names to us

I don't think I'd be calling it out loud in the park though (think about it)

The singer pink has a dog called the f word (the name is the f word) cos she said she wanted to shout it really loudly in the park

"My dog was called F**ker," says Pink. "My dad adopted him and changed his name to Fred. He is a much happier dog now. He still responds to both names, but he's happier."

Pink shocked diners in a Beverly Hills restaurant a couple of years ago when she called out "F**ker" repeatedly after losing the pooch in the crowded room.

That is brilliant!

As for actual names, I've had too many pets (over 80!) to name them all here, but my most recent rabbits up to last month were called Buffy & Angel. Sadly, Angel died last month, and Buffy & Razzle ( my new bun) doesn't quite have the same ring to it!

I have a couple of gay mates who called their 2 dogs Titania and Clytemnestra purely so that when they call them in the park they can shout Titty and Clitty really loudly over and over again in a quite camp fasion, even now three years later it still makes them crease up. Muppets

Sergent Rodger!
I also came across someone once who shouted out 'Dawn French' to their dog.

I will definitely be calling my next pet 'Toaster' i love it!
