This thread is a bit late but one of my favourite bands Warpaint are releasing a new album in January and I wanted to know your thoughts.

The comeback single is pretty great, huh?

I quite like the single which was played on XFM last week and I hadn't heard of them before. They remind me of the shoe-gazing bands that were big in the UK in the 90's.

And when I was trying to find some info about them I surprised to find out that the gorgeous actress Shannyn Sossamon used to be in the band!

Yes they are very shoe-gazey but also add a sort of art-rock/ethereal element to it as well, they are fresh unique!

I fell in love with Shannyn after The Rules of Attraction and have been following her career since, It is a shame she left the band before they got big:/

I discovered them after Undertow was single of the week on iTunes when The Fool was first released!

The Fool was perfection but I'm excited to hear more of their new stuff which is meant to have a more electronic/r'n'b feel which sounds awesome! Love Is To Die is definitely a step in the right direction!

Fair enough, I would give their new album a go when it comes out as it is meant to be quite different from their debut! And yes they are pretty excellent live to.

Liked their EP a lot which promised a lot but their debut album disappointed me massively. Expecting a lot more from them with their new album, and hopefully it will have a track or two that will top the likes of 'Stars' and 'Elephants'.

I started with their album (which I loved) and then bought their EP (which I also loved) and I reckon that Love Is To Die is up there with their best and I reckon the new album will be excellent!

I actually prefer Theresa's vocals, but Emily's are brilliant plus, there isn't really that much difference between the two.

I also really love the synths in the background!

I love their song Bees, but I haven't heard anything else they've done. I only discovered that song a couple of weeks ago.

Their Exquisite Corpse EPis a pretty good place to start, then their album The Fool (which contains Bees)and then their latest stuff.

They get better with time so I would work your way up from their earliest stuff.

Glad you've discovered them!
