John Barrowman
He seems to be appearing on a regular basis on SCD programmes. He is on the Friday panel again tonight .
Do you think that the BBC are getting us ready for him taking over when Bruce retires ? I have to say I enjoy the weeks when Bruce is not there and enjoy the Tess and Claudia shows, |

I think the likes of John Barrowman and Michael Ball are far too busy with their own music/ acting careers to even consider presenting something like strictly.
In John's case, its one thing to record a series to be shown later in the year - but out of the question to sign up for a live series which requires a 3 month comittment at a lucrative time of the year (all those Christmas tours, concerts and pantos). Having to take every Saturday off isn't good for them |

Fair enough though I believe Bruce gets a hefty payment to present SCD.
So a lot of money for 2 days a week work for 3 months rather than 7 days pantomime over Xmas seems like a no brainer for me. Or even 7 concerts a week ? |

Rather chew on some silver foil than watch him. |

For all his failings I would rather be stuck with Bruce than Barrowman. That is how much I dislike the man.

He's an egomaniac and not one tenth as talented as he thinks he is.

That just does not compute I can't see him wanting a miniscule diamond and a thin as cotton chain Why would he want to get anything from QVC? |

Having to take every Saturday off isn't good for them Strictly is the biggest entertainment show on tv, both would kill for the job and the money. Going by Barrowman's regular appearances on QVC, the bit part roles certainly aren't paying much. Which is why he is constantly trying to get the BBC to do another series of Torchwood. Quote:

Neither will get the job anyway. |

I don't think he'd have the time- he's in a few US TV drama's now and fronts their version of Your Face Sounds Familiar.

Hopefully he might be on ITT just to plug his new afternoon quiz show on BBC1 Pressure Pad, rather than as a possible Bruce replacement. Although I'm always suspicious of the Friday guests in case they are putting themselves forward as possible contestants or contenders for Bruce's job.

I like him but can't see him as a replacement for Bruce. The one person who I think would be perfect for the role is Graham Norton
