I like him but can't see him as a replacement for Bruce. The one person who I think would be perfect for the role is Graham Norton

Why not just keep it as Tess and Claudia.

I would imagine the "money men" (those who've recently been told by Lord Hall to be as careful with it, "as they would their own." Hmm.. I always thought the problem was that they thought it was their own money!) anyway, by now they realise with Bruce only working part time, the show will still beat anything that ITV have to offer without him, (that's an important consideration) so the next "incumbent,"(rather than the "inconvenience" we have presently), won't be offered the "silly money" they're reported to be paying at the moment.
Therefore I don't expect who hosts the show next year (I'd put money on there being a change), will be paid anywhere near as much, which might rule out a few of those already suggested. |

No, I thought not. Bruce, for all his faults (in your eyes) does know how to put contestants at their ease and to show sympathy when they are under attack from the judges and hit by low scores. Graham Norton would make fools and idiots of everybody just to get a cheap laugh. That might be fun on his own show but definitely not on a reality contest. |

Did you not see Graham presenting Strictly Dance Fever some years ago? He was very good and empathetic with the dancers.

Are you joking? Ball certainly isn't too busy.
I don't think Michael Ball or John Barrowman have to much to worry about moneywise. And as someone else said any new host is unlikely to get anywhere near the amount Bruce does now anyway. I quite like Tess and Claudia presenting ! |

Did you not see Graham presenting the Andrew Lloyd Webber shows to find Maria, Joseph and Nancy/ Oliver? He was excellent in the role - sympathetic to the contestants and not afraid to take on the judges when needed. And it's Tess/ Claudia who has to deal with the celebs when they get low scores - Brucie has finished with his bit when the scores come in as the celebs are up in the Tesspit when they come in! In his own show he's lewd, crude and rude, but he has shown himself more than capable of toning it down for working on a prime time live TV show, and unlike dear Bruce he wears an earpiece and can read an autocue properly! |

Why would you want to replace "me, me , me" Bruce with me "me, me, me" Barrowman?
John mentioned about the dancing (in relation to Dave and to some degree Mark) and didn't seem to be overly taken with them, yet likes Ben and thinks he'll get far because....? |

Tess and Claudia don't know anything about dancing but they did just fine when Bruce was sick. Graham doesn't need to know dancing to be a good host. The American DWTS host does a marvellous job and I don't see him offering tips or have any inkling that he's a dancer or knows anything about dancing.

I hardly think that John Barrowman is 'too big' for Strictly, as some posters are suggesting, as he is now reduced to presenting a daytime quiz.
