Thank goodness there's no vacancy for a host on Strictly.
I don't see Bruce returning for another series .

Whenever I see or hear anything about JB, I think this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZQVSxXTCjg&t=1m12s
I think this

and it suits him to speak in his own tongue .

Brucie will have to announce his retirement first and when he'll do that is as open ended as it's ever been. He hasn't done it so far so I guess people will have to go on guessing.

No we go on hoping and praying Wilnelia makes him see sense and retire before he dies with his boots on (so to speak).

If you want make to be pre-emptive that’s up to you but as Brucie is still working at 85 there’s really no telling when he might leave.

I like him and he would be at home as the SCD presenter.
* makes quick exit *
I think he would be too. Unfortunately, I also think he'd make most of the other residents want to move out.

I might be another lone voice here because I love JB!

As someone who has done loads of work for the BBC, won a Christmas special with Ola & has been on ITT several times as one of the guests who obviously actually watches the show , I don't think it was strange to see him on the Friday panel at all.

I suspect that he is in the running to replace Bruce & I'd be happy with that. I doubt he would lust after the guys in the way Craig & Bruno does because that's not his style on a family show. His presenting style is very professional.

I also doubt he's desperate for the money though because he's a workaholic, but I can see him doing it because he'd love the job.

He's is very in your face sometimes, but that's because he's someone who loves getting involved & definitely an extrovert. Being openly gay still doesn't sit well with a lot of people & other people love to knock down someone who is talented and successful, but openly confident. It is definitely a British thing.

Sorry Buddy, he acted like he'd heard some stuff, but hadn't really watched it properly at all.

And he was incoherent and made himself look a fool, although he was hugely confident sounding.

And I'm a MASSIVE fan of Johnny Partridge, so the gay OTT thing doesn't wash with me I'm afraid.

Me too, he's a smug, arrogant know-it-all.
He reminded me of Julian Thingies appearances. Very hyperactive and would not shut up, had to keep interrupting.

Id prefer him to Graham, Anton or Vernon if I'm honest, but id prefer someone like Conley, O'Grady, Armstrong who isn't just a presenter but an entertainer (said this so many times now so apologies if I'm boring you )

Sorry but he didn't come over like that to me Rhumbatugger and he's OTT fay like Graham but nothing like John Partridge (I mean when he's on TV). But we don't have to agree!

We don't.

But you do have to think about the validity and coherence of what he said.

And you are not stupid.

Buddy, don't take the one thing Kristina ever won away from her! At least until Ben's Tits take home the series victory with their exceptional jiggli...I mean dancing.

Oh dear!

I watched the new Big Bang Theory episode this week. Then I read your post.

I now have the Howard and Raj scene in my head

And it will be the background commentary on whatever Ben does in tonight's show

But, I like Ben (compared to Dave and Fiona at least).

P.S. Both Howard and Raj showed good isolation. Raj especially

P.P.S. I had to add a link. Don't watch if you're a Big Bang fan, and haven't seen the episode.

Lol! True - it is late & I'm in more pain than usual tonight!

And a big OOPS! for mixing up Ola & Kristina too!

I'll watch it tomorrow - cannot wait! We've watched every episode at least twice & I don't think I've ever laughed out loud at a TV show as much in my life!

He seems to be appearing on a regular basis on SCD programmes. He is on the Friday panel again tonight .

Do you think that the BBC are getting us ready for him taking over when Bruce retires ?

I have to say I enjoy the weeks when Bruce is not there and enjoy the Tess and Claudia shows,
Yes John's campaign to be the new host of SCD has started.

The next host of SCD should be a female. I'm sick of the complacent assumption that it will be a man. Why should it be? We need to knock the women hate other women (who are more attractive and successful than they are) cliche on the head because it's poisonous and isn't true for most women.

Borrowman gives me the creeps.
Can you just imagine the stomach-churning antics as he and Bruno tried to out-gay each other over the male celebs.
Bleurgh!

To keep some sort of gender balance in the presenters ........ just so that at least one of them isn't acting like an over-excited 13 year old girl.

Why? There are three male judges & one female so why not balance this up with 2 female presenters. Or, even more radical, have a female presenter and a male interviewing the couples.
