“Saturday 30 November
Time to be confirmed
BBC ONE and BBC ONE HD

This week will see plenty of song and dance as the musicals-themed show rolls onto the Strictly dance floor, and the seven remaining couples step out once more to perform routines inspired by some of the most iconic hits from stage and screen.

Presented live from Elstree Studios, Strictly’s duo Sir Bruce Forsyth and Tess Daly welcome the celebrities back to the floor in a bid to guarantee their spot in the competition as the final draws near.

As ever, judges Len Goodman, Darcey Bussell, Craig Revel Horwood and Bruno Tonioli have their scoring paddles at the ready to critique each couple. The voting lines will then open and it is down to the public to save their favourite couple from the feared dance off.

Also in tonight’s show there will be an amazing group dance to the popular ‘Anything Goes’.”

Time to be confirmed

It’s time for another couple to leave the competition, as Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman reveal who will miss out on the opportunity to dance in the quarter final next week.

The public votes and judges’ scores will be combined, and the two couples with the lowest score will face each other in the dance off. It is then up to the judges to decide which couple is next to leave the sequins and glitter behind forever.

No stranger to musicals, tonight’s performance comes from the UK multi-platinum-selling and Tony Award-winning opera singer Alfie Boe, with his rendition of ‘Bring Him Home’ from the hit musical Les Misérables.”

If there is anyone left to do Waltz or VW, then it might be Edelweiss or Favrourite Things respectively. Let's see who's unlucky enough to dance to those tracks.

There are so many classic musicals with excellent songs suitable for ballroom dancing, there's absolutely no reason for them to use a tune that has been used before.

West Side Story 'Mambo' might be used for some latin-inspired dance. But I struggle to think of songs suitable for latin numbers. Unless they include jukebox musicals like Mama Mia, The Spice Girls or We Will Rock You etc..

Aw. That sounds a much more effective theme than the usual. But I wish it was sooner. Mark would be brilliant in that week, and he probably won't still be in.

I remembered they did that last year too. Dani did Somewhere Over the Rainbow and that was then I thought her Foxtrot (which is a boring dance to do right) was exquisitely performed with immaculate footwork.

Did they? I remembered it as 'Hollywood' or 'movies' or something - or just forgotten it altogether.

Dave Arch could orchestrate no end of classic musical songs as any dance style they liked.

She did (early on, think it might have been week 3 or 4)

For the Waltz/VW:

Still to do the Waltz - Ashley, Natalie, Patrick (as Susanna is doing hers this weekend)

Still to do the VW - Abbey, Ben, Dave, Fiona, Mark, Patrick, Sophie

^ having to do this from memory so I might have got a couple mixed up.

Heard clip of him on youtube. Amazing. Definitely better than his popera singing some god-forsaken bond song previously! My skin crawled and goosbumps nearly burst when he did that last time.

Any Bollywood musicals to be included? Jai Ho was used for an AT on DWTS.

Jai Ho has been used in an SCD tango routine, danced by Flavia with (can't remember if it's Jimi or Matt)...
