It depends entirely on the placement of Patrick and Abbey as to whether Mark can avoid the bottom two. I have no doubt that either Mark or Fiona will be bottom of the leaderboard, but Mark could have been as high as 4th in the public vote and still been in the dance-off. So if there's ties and the bottom half of the leaderboard doesn't contain so many popular celebs (Sophie, Ben and Fiona) then Mark could make it through.

1, Because they can.

Because she is a lovely person, and I don't see why you dislike her so much.

Mark might squeeze through next week.

a)He could get some bounce back votes due to being in the bottom 2.

b)Many Dave fans will likely switch their votes to Mark.

I'm fine with Fiona still being there and would rather Mark went before she does. It's great to still have Anton at this stage too. Do wish he'd cut his hair though. Surely staying in the show doesn't mean he's missed his usual trip to the hairdressers?

A lot of people might be voting for him rather than Fiona.

The one thing that bugs me about Fiona is her response to the judges' comments. I don't know if it's a bit of an act, but she always seems so bewildered when she hears what they have to say. Maybe Anton keeps her in a cocoon or something!

If Fiona and Mark both have ballroom next week they should improve, so it could be an interesting result. (And they'll no doubt make a big deal of it being Mark's birthday on Saturday, which may help.)

Many thanks for the spoiler which I read last night.

Disappointed that Mark was in the dance off but I'm glad he made it through, I hope he makes a comeback in Blackpool on his birthday

Think that Ashley, Patrick, Susanna and Natalie will have a latin dance next week.

Which are all people from the top of the leaderboard. Don't think that the trio can repeat this week, but they should score somewhere between 30-33 and that will be though for Mark and especially Fiona to achieve.

Meanwhile, the other two girls should have ballroom and will probably be ok (if Sophie has AS she should do brilliant even, in Blackpool and with Brendan's AS choreography).

And Ben will probably get the blokey marks from the judges.

Ashley and Patrick should definitely have latin having just done two ballrooms. Difficult to tell how the cookie will crumble as I think that Patrick's done all the latins he'll be really good at, I think the rumba will be too slow for him and we're unlikely to see a great samba, especially from a male, at this stage.

Ashley, of course, is entirely at the mercy of Ola's latin choreography, and eventually they'll have to start marking Ben sanely (Craig at least did so this week) - he should have ballroom this week. If he's got AS he might be able to cover it with some flashy lifts, but his ballroom's been pretty dull outside of that.

Hi all

Just popped by to say thanks to SaraV for the spoiler last night - had a woeful evening last night (it's had nothing to do with a very late night on Friday you understand ) and dozed off pretty much all evening *old*

See you next week

No only were the regular FM waiting for the result it would appear Twitter was too!! It was funny reading the 'OMG' tweets when it was thought Mark had gone over Dave to 'thank god' tweets!!

Thanks for the result and in the general scheme of things it wasn't a life or death situation.

Wouldn't mind betting that Ola will get James to give her a hand with the choreography as he is out of the running.....they are Latin specialists - and their speciality is the rumba.......

It's smart if she does

Don't think the Rhumba was Mark's best dance but he tried, Dave stomped again. Think next week it will be between Mark & Fiona unless somebody else really messes up

Because apparently the BBC sees no problem with it..... otherwise they wouldn't give us all five free votes.

Hi all, was I dreaming when I read the spoiler the other way around last night?

I would maybe add Ben to that group too. After all it just depends on the dance off. So Ben / Fiona / Mark are the next 3 in line to be eliminated by the judges whoever they are up against.

Craig is getting his claws out for Ben now lol about time.

Afraid of what exactly? Seems to me people say exactly what they mean on these forums!

Sara has apologised and explained why it happened (not that she had to justify it really) and that should have been the end of it.

Thank you Sara...and remember, no one's perfect, not even fefster

Nope. Not terry girlfriend. Just someone who doesn't understand the bashing terry gets. Terry is one of of a few members who took the time to send me a private message when I took a bit of a bashing on the boards recently for starting a thread about a topic which had already been covered and a topic that threads had been closed down on - something I was unaware of. Anyway, terry took time out of his/her (?) day to message me and tell me not to worry about some of the messages I was getting, which was lovely of him/her.

Yes, terry commented on the thread with the unofficial spoiler, but the comments were not supportive of the naughty poster and terry wasnt the it one to end up bumping the thread in this way in attempts to tell the naughty poster off.

There were quite a few people posted on that thread, not sure why Terry got the public flack for it. I also don't understand why Terry comes in for so much stick, he did post a lot, but seems to have reigned back recently, I don't see the problem. Nothing like a surplus of enthusiasm for getting the post count up .

No, there was a slight problem with the first result (user error ), but it was quickly corrected!

The easiest way to understand Terry is to realise if a thread title is insufficiently detailed, he cannot be asked to actually read the existing threads to see what is being discussed and join in, so makes his own long winded, randomly shouty threads.

Therefore the only threads that come up when he searches for something are his own, so he answers himself. Or answers another poster again because he has forgotten or not read what he has already said in response to that poster.

There are few things that will flag up outside of this. Bruce being one and Brendan another.
