Has MARK BENTON got any chance of winning?

With some dances, he's a really great mover, and with others he's not, so I just don't think he's consistent enough for a win. But I still hope he lasts a few more weeks as I enjoy watching him.

I've wanted him to do well ever since I knew he was going to be on the show. Love him

This is what the dance-off is for, to prevent it becoming a mockery of a competition.

If someone who put hours of effort into the work then found that they were beaten in the final, by a comparatively inept "popular" contestant, they wouldn't get potential winners to sign up for it, just to waste the time and effort.”

Chris Parker couldn't dance and was never in the dance off. I remember Len begging the public to vote for Natasha.

In order to win he will have to avoid the dance off. If he is able to do that (and this is a massive ask) then he could win because it would suggest that he's very popular with the public. Ultimately whoever wins the public vote wins the contest. I guess if he goes on much longer the producers (in the form of how the panel votes) will try and bounce him into the dance off and out of the competition.

He's a good entertainer in the right way. It's tempting to say that he needs to improve his technique but that probably doesn't matter since the judges will mark him behind Natalie, Abbey, etc regardless. To win he probably needs to top of the public vote each week. That's not impossible but it'll be hard for him to consistently entertain with every dance and he can't have Dave splitting the silly vote.

I want him to win, not least because I will win a ton of cash if he does.

He's not inept that's why I like him - he's nowhere near Natalie's class but he's probably a better dancer than Fiona and Ben - and he's streets ahead of Dave.

He's not going to win but I'd like to see him outlast Dave and Fiona - I think Ben's got the crumpet vote too sewn up to be booted off before Mark although Ashley might pip it from him so it's beyond the realms of possiblity.

Me too - they have been my favourite couple since week one. I just love them both.

I really like Mark - he understands what's necessary even if he struggles to deliver, and he's a naturally good mover and has heart in his dancing.

I don't think he'll win, but I hope he outlasts Fiona and Dave, and possibly Ben although he's slurped over embarrassingly so will stay in for a bit I think.

I want him to go to Blackpool, and I want him to give us a really good non comedy dances, at least, before he goes.

I want Mark to go to Blackpool as well because it will be his birthday at the Blackpool Strictly show so that would be great for Mark to still be in SCD then.

Really! Aw, I hope he goes to Blackpool then! They will have a cake for him there like they did for Ola and James.

Yeah Mark's birthday is on the 16th of November and it is Janette's birthday as well on the same day.

So that's actually on the Saturday. Oh yes he has to be there

Maybe, if people are really wanting a peformer and crowd please to win this year. It's not impossible, but, I suspect not. Ben has more chance by the sounds of it (if you believe John Barroman).

Mark & Iveta are one of my favourite couples this year. He's a lovely man, she's a fantastic pro, their partnership is great and their dancing makes me smile.

But I don't realistically see them winning, although I will be happy with them getting at least one week beyond Blackpool and outlasting Dave. He seems to have pretty good support so I think that's viable.

He has confirmed on twitter that it is his birthday on the 16th & he's 21.

Mark is great entertainment and is good mover with the makings of a good dancer, but he won't reach his full potential on this show, largely because of his weight. He is very popular though and he's my wild card for the final.

So I hope everyone who is supporting Mark and Iveta will vote loads of times tomorrow so that they can perform at Blackpool esp. for Mark's birthday which would be so lovely.

I am happy for him to get to Blackpool, but he will never win. His weight and body shape will stop him becoming really good.

Mark, Ben & Patrick are all middle of the pack and once Dave is out, they will all be in danger.

I like Dave but " Dreadful Dave " made me chuckle .
Great nicknames

Would love to see Mark & Iveta do a proper AT.

This is one dance where size (for the man) really does not matter.
