Three and Tesco named best value, 4 awards for Three

Three and Tesco named best value, 4 awards for Three at the uswitch awards. Three even won the best customer support award!!

Only Vodafone went home empty handed.

Quote:
“Three, Tesco Mobile and HTC are among the big winners in this year's uSwitch Awards, awarded by phone fans and industry experts to the best manufacturers and mobile networks for value, coverage, customer support and extras.

Three scooped the most awards, taking home four gongs. Customer satisfaction ratings were tallied up to name Three as the network giving the best value for money -- both on contract and SIM-only -- and the best customer support, despite repeatedly being named as the most complained-about network by Ofcom.

Three was also named best for roaming thanks to the Feel At Home scheme, which gives you free calls back to Blighty when you're overseas.

Tesco Mobile customers declared themselves the happiest customers with their network's coverage and PAYG value for money. 4G network EE took home the award for fastest network.

Overall, O2 was named the best pay-monthly network and best for perks, while O2-owned GiffGaff won best PAYG network.

Of the major networks, only Vodafone went home empty-handed.”

Well done Tesco for having the best network coverage despite the fact that its identical to O2/GiffGaff/LycaMobile.

Best in these awards is asking people to vote for perceived best, Tesco customers were the most happy with coverage it seems.

One of the judges was Digital Spy's Hunter Skipworth, others members of the judging panel were from the likes of Tech Radar and the BBC.

Show's why you should not let the general public vote on anything! LOL

Exactly. It's all to do with cost in relation to coverage.

O2 cost more than Tesco, therefore, it is not unreasonable for O2 customers to expect better coverage, and better customer service as they're paying more. Obviously, O2 customers are unsatisfied with their cost to performance ratio, where as Tesco customers aren't. It's nothing to do with actual coverage.

It's like buying an Audi A3, and a SEAT Leon. They're based off the same car, but as an Audi buyer, I'd be more pissed off with little niggling problems on an A3, than I would on a Leon because I'd paid more for my product.

Well done Tesco's, 3 of my family have been with them for 2 years or more. Can't understand why anyone goes to another operator,

I was with them for over a year but moved to Tmobile as Tesco / O2 had lousy reception where I live and in many larger built up areas the 3G data was slow or unusuable for me. Tmobile on the other hand gives excellent data speeds in my village and where I work.

It's all down to what the signals are like where you are I guess.
