I'm not being silly at all, I'm just disagreeing with you. Your word isn't gospel.

Saying things like 'it's annoying because it might be put on' and 'the girl is capable of speaking more clearly', how patronising is that? -- little digs, there's no need for it.
Very patronising . Smh.

I didn't hear Barrowman say anything nasty about anyone. The reaction to his comments by some people are completely OTT.

There have been comments on various threads about Scouser Abbey being incoherent, and there was even a link to a story about her cheating on Peter Crouch while she was on coke - what the heck does that have to do with her appearing on Strictly?
Exactly. The reactions over his comments are so OTT .
He didn't say anything nasty at all.

Have finally watched it and have to say Barrowman was loud, full of himself, and distinctly partisan, but to my mind he was not as unkind as some posters' comments on the ITT thread had suggested. He was campaigning for Ben, certainly, but I felt that the Natalie comments weren't a description of his own feelings so much as his reading of a public reaction. (And the expression of his hopes for Ben.) I would say he was being a soppy and over-excited Ben fan rather than an ogre.

Abbey... I couldn't find the bit where she was incoherent. She only said two sentences, both of which I understood. Mind you, I live in the north west and maybe you hear Scouse accents here more than in whatever counties youse guys are from.

I loved Suggs's reaction to Anton and Fiona's music... 'At the outer edges of what I expect of the human race'

i thought JB was a bit mean in the way he said what he did, especially the rather excitable prediction she'd be out in two weeks, but his underlying point was fair enough, people do like to see someone who is experiencing something new and challenging and a bit out of their comfort zone.

I'd agree with him that Ben may well win. You only need to look at some of the reactions last Saturday to know that him taking his shirt off is going to secure him a bunch of votes. I expect him to be top male at the very least because of that.

It was obviously silly to say Natalie will be out in two weeks. We know the judges would save her.

To wind up JB

If JB had just said he was supporting Ben because of his own connection with Kristina he might have looked a bit less like a moonstruck school boy rather than oohing over Ben in his shorts.

As for the rest - well, he's never really got over being the shock boot on DoI a mere 7 years ago.
In a dance off.
To a person who was there for the third time.

He's completely fine with it. Honest.

I don't really think that any if the celebs have improved that much. Abbey's core is still weak and she will never be half the dancer Natalie is. Of course the judges will try to push the journey storylines down our throats, but what's the reality?

Ben has livened up a bit but he still can't dance.

Marks technique is still rubbish.

I'm sure Abbey will still struggle with the fast Latin dances. Her Rumba lacked hip action and fluidity.

Sophie has fallen apart.

Ashley's posture is still a bit crap.

Where are all of the journey contestants?

John's comments were a bit unnecessary and nasty IMO.

But it's not and Ben is exceptional and Dave shouldn't be in the way of Artem and ermm...

And Ben should win then because he's exceptional, or anyway great, and he's popular, but popular isn't most important and Patrick doesn't look that great.......

Can't be arsed to try and make sense of such a lot of incoherent crap personally.

I think JB is manipulative and has a bit of a crush, it's embarrassingly silly and makes him look a er... foolish t..
Shallow as I'm sure JB can be, he's also very pro-gay politically - and Ben, the eye candy element aside, fronts an anti-bullying charity (with specific reference to homophobic bullying), set up after his father was murdered. Yes, hard to believe after watching those pathetic VTs which couldn't be more anodyne if they tried. JB will be aware of this and I'm sure this will influence his opinion as much as any 'hottie' qualities.

And failed. I can't see the producers standing for their favourite being rubbished like that ...

ITT isn't trying to be too serious. Barrowman is entitled to his opinion and shouldn't be abused for expressing it. Why do some people need to abuse a particular celeb in order to maintain their rose-tinted view of their fave? It's just a silly light entertainment programme that's fun to watch

Well, he should have made that clear then - rather than getting into Homer Simpson mode and making his critique - ooooh .... shorts ...

'No-one' in this case being you. Natalie has topped the past two DS popularity polls as well as another before that, and since there's nobody the judges would realistically let her go over, she's here until the final at least. Like it or not.

Why should he have made it clear?

The contestants' stories aren't the responsibility of guests on ITT. They should be told by the producers. Who, curiously, are airbrushing aspects out of many competitors' lives. I wond why ...

Can you please explain to me how you or indeed John Barrowman could possibly know that no one has warmed to Natalie ?I Iike Natalie , many of my friends like Natalie .What is his opinion based on ? His circle of friends ? The people he knows ?
Whats your based on ? You little circle of people you know ? Or have you asked everyone and so can say NO ONE warms to her ?
Odd how she is not in the bottom two if no one likes her and Barrowman showed himself up in very bad light by appearing on ITT and declaring that no one warmed to one of the contestants .

Well of course he is entitled to his opinion but lets face it how many other visitors to ITT have openly stated that a contestant on Strictly is not liked and will be out soon....its unkind really to speak those sort of opinions on ITT.I dont mind JB too much though he does seem to be getting even louder and more opinionated than ever. He is the one who has given those opinions and therefore I dont see why people should not slate him for it and lets be honest it is not really about Natalie as much as it is about being so disrespectful and unkind to any participant on the show.

I agreed with John for the most part. Not sure about Natalie being voted off. I didn't agree with Suggs one little bit. I think Dave should have gone weeks ago!

Some think Suggs said what he did just to wind JB up for hogging the show and being so out of touch with the whole concept of SCD.

i used to sometimes think that when i occasionally went to watch milwall play.

'no-one likes us (we don't care)' they sang. and i thought - yes but is that actually factually truly the truth? had they asked every human being on the planet? i guess we will never know, but it would be pretty difficult to conduct daily life if this is the standard of evidence required before any opinion is voiced.

Well you sure need a little more evidence than John Barrowman has to base his opinion on .
And he wasnt down the pub with his mates declaring no one loved him .He was TV on ITT decalring that no one warmed to another person who most likely will see it .Most people have the filter that stops them making a foolish statement like that .,

Barrowman made a complete t*t of himself, and hopefully comprehensively ruined any chance he might of had of replacing Forsyth.
For which, much thanks.

not at all, opinions don't have to be evidenced based where they reflect personal views. otherwise how could anyone profess a belief in god...

well, i already said on the thread that i thought it was a bit mean to say it the way he did, and i really didn't like his slightly excited prediction that she'd be out (it was a bit like he couldn't wait) but i don't really have a problem with people voice 'foolish' opinions of TV. suggs is predicting dave to win (perhaps in backlash, but an equally 'foolish' opinion none the less)
