I suppose after so many leaks from BBC entertainment in South America it was only fair to release in advance

That is very excitng. I was worried about watching the trailer, that it would give too much away, but that is exactly what a trailer should be, a tantalising glimpse!

Although the character really started to annoy me, I was kinda pleased to see:

Spoiler

Spoilered just in case someone enters this thread, but has no intention of watching the trailer

All seems a bit too grandiose if I'm honest. Hopefully the meat of the episode itself will be a bit more quiet.

Serious questions:

1) Would these 40 seconds have held you over if they had been released in July/August?

2) If you were avoiding trailers, could you have held off for up to 5 months?

I was actually thinking the opposite! This is simultaneously going to be shown to millions of people across the world, it needs to be suitably epic. Although some of the best episodes have been those with the least fuss, I think it's necessary here, particularly for markets like America where budgets are much bigger.
A great example of this is in Midnight when the ship is thrown about they move the camera and have the actors launch themselves around. On House MD they made a bus on a hydraulic stage so that during a bus crash they could actually "crash" the bus!

I think the trailer looks great

Wow looks fantastic, and great to see Matt and David together. Billie Piper looks spooky as Rose, or maybe she is not playing Rose but a version of her

I have a feeling she will be playing the Bad Wolf - after all, she spread the message across time and space, why not a projection of herself? The past actions of the Doctor (hinted at in the trailer, don't wish to spoil it), would lead to his meeting with real Rose, wasn't that the point of the Bad Wolf message? Also, as someone mentioned in the other thread, Bad Wolf Rose says "The Time War ends" - I suspect she may well have projected herself there concurrently with being on the space station

Rose with glowing eyes and "The moment is coming".

or is it...

"The Moment" is coming.

We know the Doctor stole "The Moment" from the Timelords so maybe the Hurt Doctor is the one to use it?

Interesting looks like a view through binoculars or something. Maybe someone is watching footage of ten on a display which has this writing on... Also noticed on the shot of eleven hanging upside down from the tardis over London. In the top right area of the city, there are loads of blue marks around buildings. Looks like unfinished cgi or something...

Brilliant trailer.

Rose looks all Bad Wolf in it too.

The production values (and especially the CG) look very good, did they have an increased budget?

I agree, if you check out the poster, Bad Wolf is graffiti'd on it so it's pretty certain that we're getting another Rose/Bad Wolf outing, if it ties in with TPotW that means an 8 year story arc (sort of). Mind you, I can hear the howls of protest now if the Time War gets "reset" so nobody dies

If Moffat is to be believed (which he isn't), they had a 60 minute 2D budget.

My favourite moment of the trailer is actually a pretty low key one, I just love the high-ten between The Doctor and Clara.

“It was unbelievably tough actually making the 50th,” he said. “It was extraordinarily difficult mainly because we were trying to push the boat out and as ever we didn’t have enough money. We were making a feature-length Doctor Who on the schedule and budget for an hour. We’re doing it in 3D on the budget for 2D.”

Absolutely love the Trailer, even more exciting that unlike the Hollywood brigade, the BBC hardly ever include monumental moments in their Trailers so what's still to come? Also, as an amusing aside: since Rose was the Bad Wolf and could see what has been, what is and what's to come, and Clara was scattered throughout the Doctor's entire time stream, when they meet will it be a "Oh hello, how are you? "Oh still split through his life, I think I'm the real Clara now though." "Oh is that right? Hmmm."
