Seriously? You're objecting to a 20 second announcement on the news that basically started with "for those of you tuning in for strictly later"? I don't exactly think the BBC were ignoring Remembrance news for that little snippet nor treating it as if it had the same weight...
Are you really serious that you think it's acceptable to include something like this in the national news?

Natalie has fainted twice so she's not dancing. This is not worthy of national news.

Her jive was looking a bit dodgy in training.

You can't even give her a break when she's hurt?

I thought Bruce wasn't on this week?

This weekend we remember all those of gave their lives for this country in wars over the last 100 years.

Natalie has fainted twice so can't perform on Strictly.

Somehow this 'news' pales into insignificance.
This is silly.

We can multi task a bit you know, feel sorry for more than one thing at a time.

Get a grip.

Maybe John knew something after all.
I hoped they checked his bag for dolls with big hair & pins sticking out of it

I wonder if, depending on whether she's fit to return, she'll perform her Jive next week and carry on from there. It obviously may not be fair on those who learn a new dance, but it all depends on the extent of her injury.

I hope Natalie gets to do her Jive another week as I was looking forward to it. I also hope that people don't start moaning about her automatically going through to next week as, despite anything John Barrowman might say, she was never going home tonight anyway. It is highly unlikely she would have ended up in the dance-off and, even if she did, the judges would never have sent her home.

I could not believe that the BBC thought this was worthy of a mention on the national news
Higly viewed programme. When Brian Fortuna said he wouldn't,t be back, it was on R2 breakfast show news.

Is this really the place for this? This forum is about SCD. People love the show. It may not be news to you, but they do actually want to know.

It is not for you to judge what is news or not for the general public.

I'm so disappointed that we're not going to see the Jive.

Hope Natalie feels better soon.

Spot on.

I can't think that anyone with a half functioning brain would think otherwise, personally.

Heartbroken for my evening's entertainment, but wishing her well. Could be a blood pressure issue if she has low BP, does cause lightheadedness / fainting. Hope it is not her back again.

The bad News,

is that Natalie fainted and won't be dancing, which has been repeated so many times on this thread, presumably because it's assumed by some, no one reads any post before theirs.

Let's hope she recovers soon.

The "Good News"

is that this week we will be spared the possibility of Bruce, "filling in" by spending the extra time available, by being even more annoying than usual.

Wonder if the viewing figures will drop as a lot only watch this year it to see Natalie

Hopes she's better soon !
I wonder if they'll increase because a lot of people decide not to watch this year because of Natalie.

Hmmm, no. Her jive looked remarkably good in training. Perhaps it's your eyesight that's looking a bit dodgy?

Thankfully it is Brucie's week off so we are spared that ordeal.

Hope this is not a flare up of her back problems. Perhaps she has pushed herself too much.

Wishing her a speedy recovery. She seems to be having quite a tumultuous experience. Her health is far more important than a Saturday evening prime time dance show.

Bingo!

I had a quick bet with myself as to how long it would take one of Natalie's detractors (I thought you'd get in first) to make a snide comment that would somehow infer that she is manufacturing her illness, either because her dance is not up to snuff, or to gain a sympathy vote.

Thank you - I just won a fiver from myself..

But you felt compelled to come into this forum and object? You knew that we would care, but you still wanted to condemn that?

If it is so irrelevant to you, why are you here? Why even bother?

Have respect for other people's right to react in whatever way they want to. This is a democracy.
