Are you really serious that you think it's acceptable to include something like this in the national news?
Natalie has fainted twice so she's not dancing. This is not worthy of national news. |

This weekend we remember all those of gave their lives for this country in wars over the last 100 years.
Natalie has fainted twice so can't perform on Strictly. Somehow this 'news' pales into insignificance. So, we shouldn't talk about anything else this whole weekend? No football, no rugby, no politics, no dancing? Which is a little odd as it seems it's important enough 'news' for you to be on here posting about 7 or 8 times about it in as many minutes. |

Is this really the place for this? This forum is about SCD. People love the show. It may not be news to you, but they do actually want to know.
It is not for you to judge what is news or not for the general public. ![]() I love the show, I love the BBC too, personally I don't think that it was newsworthy on BBC national news but we'll beg to differ. |

Bingo!
![]() I had a quick bet with myself as to how long it would take one of Natalie's detractors (I thought you'd get in first) to make a snide comment that would somehow infer that she is manufacturing her illness, either because her dance is not up to snuff, or to gain a sympathy vote. Thank you - I just won a fiver from myself.. |

The bad News,
is that Natalie fainted and won't be dancing, which has been repeated so many times on this thread, presumably because it's assumed by some, no one reads any post before theirs. Let's hope she recovers soon. The "Good News" is that this week we will be spared the possibility of Bruce, "filling in" by spending the extra time available, by being even more annoying than usual. Natalie, get well soon! |

She needs to heed Darcey's words from a few weeks back and ease up. She can afford to and then she won't destroy her chances by damaging her health. I'm sorry to learn this as I was looking forward to seeing her jive. Hope she's better and back next week.

I also thought that BT Sport paying an obscene £900 million for European football broadcasting rights wasn't really news, the BBC used that story to bash ITV. I wish Natalie well as she is amazing. |

Another error for the website as well - it's a bye, not a buy.

I have to say that as bad as this is fainting during dress rehearsal, at least it did not happen on the live show which she might have found very distressing.

I do love the way some people take posts to an extreme.
I also thought that BT Sport paying an obscene £900 million for European football broadcasting rights wasn't really news, the BBC used that story to bash ITV. Unless of course you think 10million + viewers are not worthy of being informed before the event. |

Wondered how long it would take to hijack the thread to Bruce, assume the predictable wasn't the show great with out him is coming or already typed up?
Natalie, get well soon! The cynic in me would suggest that the BBC, despite the fact that it is bad news for Natalie (I've already wished her well), thought that including it as "news" is excellent extra publicity for the show. Have they ever announced on the news, one of a dozen or so contestants on X-Factor or any other programme, would not be appearing? Let's keep a sense of proportion and retain a sense of humour about the old codger's contribution to this show. I don't mind how much you like him. But it's a fact, many will enjoy the show more, without him. |

Oh I am gutted for her and Artem (and of course myself with Natalie being my main interest this year) Their Jive looked amazing in the training clips and i do hope that she will be back next week. I have a nagging feeling that all the hate aimed towards her is taking its toll and causing her stress resulting in illness and that she may not want to continue putting herself through it.I do hope not and that she feels back in good health very soon.

I hope Nat does not think of leaving that would leave a big hole in the show imo.

A small item in the news that is on just a short while before the show starts is perfectly relevant. The quickest way to get the non internet public the information. Please explain what is wrong with that?
Unless of course you think 10million + viewers are not worthy of being informed before the event. On topic - this is awful news for Natalie and I hope she puts her health first, much as I adore her dancing. |
