As much as I love the show, I do agree with you FM Lover. This is not news outside of 2 hours on a Sat night.

So, we shouldn't talk about anything else this whole weekend? No football, no rugby, no politics, no dancing?

Which is a little odd as it seems it's important enough 'news' for you to be on here posting about 7 or 8 times about it in as many minutes.

Expressing a view on the forum?? Whatever next

I love the show, I love the BBC too, personally I don't think that it was newsworthy on BBC national news but we'll beg to differ.

Exactly, 'dodgy' my arse, I'd have been stunned if she hadn't received at least 36 for it and topped the leaderboard. The jive looked fantastic in training.

I wondered how long it would take as well.

The "Good News"

is that this week we will be spared the possibility of Bruce, "filling in" by spending the extra time available, by being even more annoying than usual.”

Wondered how long it would take to hijack the thread to Bruce, assume the predictable wasn't the show great with out him is coming or already typed up?

Natalie, get well soon!

My thoughts exactly And I asked the same question.

She needs to heed Darcey's words from a few weeks back and ease up. She can afford to and then she won't destroy her chances by damaging her health. I'm sorry to learn this as I was looking forward to seeing her jive. Hope she's better and back next week.

I really am so sad for Natalie. Hope she'll be ok. I'm certain she's the winner. Get well soon Natalie xxx.

I do love the way some people take posts to an extreme.
I also thought that BT Sport paying an obscene £900 million for European football broadcasting rights wasn't really news, the BBC used that story to bash ITV.

I wish Natalie well as she is amazing.

Another error for the website as well - it's a bye, not a buy.

It's okay, she was wearing a Poppy when she fainted.

I have to say that as bad as this is fainting during dress rehearsal, at least it did not happen on the live show which she might have found very distressing.

A small item in the news that is on just a short while before the show starts is perfectly relevant. The quickest way to get the non internet public the information. Please explain what is wrong with that?

Unless of course you think 10million + viewers are not worthy of being informed before the event.

Don't worry about it, no one is forcing you to read or comment on anything.

The cynic in me would suggest that the BBC, despite the fact that it is bad news for Natalie (I've already wished her well), thought that including it as "news" is excellent extra publicity for the show.
Have they ever announced on the news, one of a dozen or so contestants on X-Factor or any other programme, would not be appearing?

Let's keep a sense of proportion and retain a sense of humour about the old codger's contribution to this show.

I don't mind how much you like him.

But it's a fact, many will enjoy the show more, without him.

Oh I am gutted for her and Artem (and of course myself with Natalie being my main interest this year) Their Jive looked amazing in the training clips and i do hope that she will be back next week. I have a nagging feeling that all the hate aimed towards her is taking its toll and causing her stress resulting in illness and that she may not want to continue putting herself through it.I do hope not and that she feels back in good health very soon.

This is a pointless comment. This is strictly thread not a bbc bash

I hope Nat does not think of leaving that would leave a big hole in the show imo.

Indeed. Trivialities have always been reported on. It's news if it's considered to be of interest to enough people. And clearly this is.

On topic - this is awful news for Natalie and I hope she puts her health first, much as I adore her dancing.

My other half (Dr) says that low blood pressure is a very common side effect of epidural administration of drugs and steroids, so her treatment rather than stress (although that is never helpful) is likely to be the cause.

'BBC Strictly Nora' apparently. I was thinking work experience kid too, but now leaning towards little old lady with failing eyesight?
