Are the judges watching the same programme as me? He's good, but he's not that good. I find him a bit cold and unlikable if I'm honest and as far as male dancers go Ashley is head and shoulders above him.

I wonder if he's struggling in the public vote and that's why they are over hyping and over marking him?

I think Ashley has more potential, which he isn't achieving because of his schedule. Neither of them are great though IMO.

I would say Patrick and Ashley are pretty equal to one another, and ahead of the rest of the males. Both have different strengths and weaknesses, but pretty close over all.

I have been saying that since week1. If I was in a club and having observed all the male celebs had to ask one to dance it would be Patrick by a country mile. His natural timing, movement and rhythm suggest to me he could dance if he hadn't been given steps to preform.

For me that the difference. I see a dancer in him and the others are simply dancing by numbers. he may not be as likable but in dance terms I think he is light years ahead.

Agree, I enjoy watching them both dance. Mind you the other male dancers are nowhere near the same standard.

I think Patrick is the second best male dancer, after Ashley.

patrick is far and away the best male dancer, the routing tonight was a bit messy but the halloween routine was criminally overlooked and underated, which appears to be his fate for being a bit of a quiet character.

Ashley is the typical boy winner who all the young girls go for, would be nice to have a different winner.

I much prefer Ashley's dancing and Patricks lifts this evening left me holding my breath in a bad way.

I love Patrick. This week and last week he was particularly good i thought.

Tonight's dance from Patrick was great! So was Ashley's though, Ben wasn't bad, but Dave was his usual hopeless self. As for MR Bond's nemesis, - best forgotten.

I must admit I thought that too.

I generally prefer Mark anyway, but I can't see how Patrick's dance was better than Ashley's - he nearly dropped Anya at the end!

I agree, especially the bit in bold. I think Ashley has room to improve, but Patrick has this naturalness about him that I love watching.

I also thought his Jive was much better than Ashley's, and he did that early on. So for me Patrick is the best male dancer.

I enjoy watching Patrick as he really seems to show a love for dancing, yes, he's a quieter personality but to me, the joy of dancing shines out of him. I thought tonight's routine was a typical example, he looked as though he was having the time of his life.

Ashley should be the best male but, he's spending too much time on his "day job" to make the impact which is needed to win over the casual voter. Both this week and last, Patrick has performed the wow dances which at the start of the series I thought would have come from Ashley.

I think he I under-rated on this forum. He is a very good natural dancer IMHO. Edited to add: and that those lifts were very risky with what must still be a weak wrist!

Patrick is easily the best male dancer, and Anya helps him to shine. It's frustrating that people don't seem to warm to him, I find him extremely likeable.

I know what people are saying, given more time to train Ashley almost certainly would make a better job of executing a routine as instructed.

But give the two of them a track at random and ask them to improvise with a partner I wager Patrick would do a respectable job and Ashley wouldn't know where to begin.

For me dancing is not the ability to perform a routine (although I understand and have no quibble with that being what SCD is about). But Patrick is the one with a natural groove and that for my money is what being a dancer means.

Ashley is my top man....
