Really enjoyed the show,
except for that *********awful Scottish nightmare.

But the rest was great. Two refreshing presenters. Let's keep it that way.

Dread who's going to be in the dance-off though - going to be another surprise exit? Hope not (fingers crossed)

You and whole lot more of us throughly enjoyed the show tonight.

I wonder if the judges were being so kind to Dave in the hope that people won't sympathy vote for him.

So did I. Much better without Bruce.

Me too, I said on another thread that there were a number of dances which I really enjoyed this week, with one exception

I really enjoyed it too - great without Bruce. Claudia was very funny. Even with the humour tonight it was much more professional without Bruce there to fluff his lines!

And so much better without horror make-up and tatty clothes.

The dances were different and you could see what they were supposed to be. The couples that could, just danced; no silly gimmicks or show off choreography. I thoroughly enjoyed the show, lots of quality performances.

Agreed. No Bruce, no ghouls, some recognisable music in roughly the right tempo (not all of it of course), pretty frocks, people doing the odd dance actually in hold with recognisable content and the men doing as well as the girls (Patrick, Ashley and Susannah danced best for me tonight). Good job.

Absolutely, pity about the steadycam of course, but otherwise a great show, well presented.

Great show tonight .. The only downside was missing the wonderful Natalie .

further proof tonight that Bruce simply does not give the show the atmosphere and pace it demands and that is not because he is too old but because he simply refuses to be just presenter end of story

I really enjoyed tonight and didn't FF half as much. Claudia is hilarious and Tess does pretty well presenting. I prefer the show without Bruce.

Just returned home and watched the show on replay. Thought all of the dances very mediocre tonight missed Natalie and Artem a real shame they could not dance.

For me they are the best and the thrill went out of tonights show it did not seem the same without them. I feel really sorry for Natalie that she has had to endure so many nasty comments on blogs from people that have had digs at her from week 1 !!

When you look at the remaining Celebs they lack ability and passion Natalie will be sadly missed if she cannot continue and I for one will not have the same interest in watching the show if her and Artem are not in it.

I hope she gets well very soon

I hope she gets well soon too, but for me the show has never been and will never be just about one couple.

My thoughts exactly. I enjoyed the show, presenting (Tess so much better without Bruce around, Claudia upstairs obviously having more fun than on the results show), and most of the VTs did not prompt me to hurl a brick through the screen (an expensive habit that I'm trying to curb) - and it really doesn't matter if the dancing isn't Total Bolshoi - I just enjoyed the show as a whole.

PS Get well soon Nat!

It was a good show. Tess and Claudia presented really well. We heard what the judges had to say. Limited props and gimmicks. Much more dancing. Loved it.

Unfortunately, the doddery fool will be back next week

I've now watched the show on the iPlayer, and I agree it was a far better show than most have been recently without the props and the faffing around - although I maintain that last week's Halloween one was just as good, and they should keep it as a one off special.

I agree, I didn't FF quite so much of last night's show, and actually caught myself watching a couple of the VTs. Last night had an extra sparkle which isn't there normally.
