Vincent did THIS with Rachel

And while I appreciate Brendan is no expert, perhaps he should have just looked at youtube?
I didn't like that At preferred Jason and Kristi as and Lisa and brendans

Yes. The routine was very Brendan is the shop assistant who's been designated the display window but can't quite work out how best to present the dolled-up shop dummy so keeps arranging and re-arranging her into different positions until he's satisfied.

It was very Brendan actually.
Better than his 'Brendan protecting his livestock from attack by boa constrictor', so we are making progress.

I agree with everyone who said that he wa like a mannequin, I realised tonight why for me there is always something that is a bit off with her and it's because there is never any emotion from her when she is dancing, whether it is joy or passion there is just nothing!
I just used 'robot' on another thread but 'mannequin' hits the nail on the head. Her dancing is pretty much like her singing - totally lacking in the emotion department. She can strike a pose but nothing more.

Why? Others have articulated my feelings quite eloquently.

I think some of these comments are so unfair. I thought it was the most memorable dances of the night (not the BEST, but most memorable).

I thought she danced it beautifully. Its her face that irritated me, she looked bored.

That explains a lot! We all have our favourites, so no worries.

Indeed.

Too much stepping from place to lift, rather than smooth flowing sensuality between accents.

I was really looking forward to seeing the first AT of the series, and I thought they might do a great job, but I ended up feeling really disappointed.

Overmarked too, in my opinion.
Sophie must be stupid if she still doesn't realise what is required of her.......! It was poor she had badly hunched back, which reminded me of a praying mantis, especially when she wrapped her legs around Brendan.........!

It was lifts and poses - I saw barely any recognizable AT steps in it.

I thought it was the equivalent of Ola twirling round a male partner. Sophie actually did very little while Brendan did all the showboating. Even OH said he thought the AT should have between the leg flicks, (which rocked me back on my heels, cos when did OH pick this knowledge up?)

I thought Sophie's impression of a mannequin was actually very good.
I am sure that's how aliens visualise humans

Mannequin was exactly the word we used. She doesn't seem to own her dances the way others do.

Yes, too much deliberate placement and lacking flow .
Good attempt though from both nonetheless .

I liked the dance and think it was fairly marked on the whole but do agree and I did actually say out loud when watching "she looks like a shop mannequin!"

They were scored fairly imo. But no passion , no ommmphh !! no fire !!! Very lacklustre imo . All the steps were there but without any emotions from her .
If she gave it some " welly " as Len would say, she would have probably scored 9s and a few 10s.

I'm totally fed up with her "I'm too cool for all this'' persona. Either get into the spirit of the show or don't take part.

Well I don't know whether it is the nerves with Sophie, or she is just naturally so laid back that she lets Brendon do all the work. I really don't know what to make of her.
