He hurt his back earlier this week ( in the gym ) so I heard

I hadn't heard that he was injured.

Aliona was missing tonight too. They were both involved in the recording of Strictly for CIN earlier this week. Perhaps they were given some time off tonight.

James has been tweeting about his back injury. I think he hoped to be in the pro dance this week-end, but doubted he'd be fit enough.

Most likely caused by that big chip on his shoulder

Did they record the CIN stuff last week or will it be live?

Think that's been recorded last weekend before James hurt his back in the gym on
Monday evening. He wasn't passed fit to dance. Was home resting it I guess.

James tweeted he has twisted one of his vertebrae and been advised not to dance. He was gutted he said because tonight's pro routine is a fun fab one. #GUTTED

Yes he had hardly started at the gym when his back went. His friend was with him lucky took him hospital. Hope he is back next weekend. And I think phew judging by pictures taken that CIN was filmed already before this😥
