I just don't understand how they're getting through every week, when better acts like Kingsland Road are going home.

Their styling, including the skirts, shorts over leggings and "drop crotch" trousers, is actually atrocious. Their harmonies are awful and they just can't sing normal songs that don't involve rap.

They're so arrogant yet so desperate at the same time, it's a huge irritating mess.

Also, the skinny one has the eyes of a murderer.

So, can anyone explain why they're apparently so popular? I've taken to calling them Photocopy.

They look great, they sing well (to my old ears, anyway) and they look as if they're enjoying it. They ooze charisma. Yep, they should be in the final.

I'm a 52 year old woman, and the only thing I can't stand about them is those trousers - I've learned here that they are 'drop-crotch' - they look hideous! Remind me of someone who has had an accident in their underwear!

I just honestly don't like them, there's something about their singing that leaves a lot to be desired. I think if they weren't so arrogant I might enjoy them a bit more.

Also, their style really really irritates me, which might be part of it. I'm only 20 and I think they look ridiculous!

Not a troll here, I just decided to log into my account so I could talk about the competition. I do love Luke Friend and Sam Bailey though, so that's something.

Well you're entitled to your opinion, I suppose

I think they're one of the best acts x Factor has had. Full of style, character, charisma and energy. I'm not sure I read them as arrogant but definitely confident and I love that too.

The simple answer is because lots of people struggle to formulate opinions of their own so if the judges say an act is great a large percentage of the population will be influenced. Some people will genuinely like that type of band others will hate them but those in the middle will be swayed by the judges, it is simple psychology.

Fact is they are nothing more than average.

Rough Copy surprised me tonight as I thought they would struggle. Their harmonies were very good.

I really like them, they are slick but not too slick, and seem like likeable to me. I thought they were great tonight.

Yes, got to agree there. People need to stop listening to judges anyway, they all have ulterior motives.

Unless it's Sam C we're talking about and then the audience decide to do the opposite of what the judges say.

The OP asked what is the appeal of Rough Copy and there are plenty of posts here describing their appeal so I don't think this patronising response is necessary or makes sense quite frankly.

Rough Copy are brilliant possibly my favorite ever X Factor group but these themes are holding them back. As Nichole said hope they are in the final.

I agree that RC are too desperate and too over confident.
