The gap between him and the real singers is definitely showing now.

There have been plenty worse them him, look back at all the past contestants - he's not great but he is really not THAT bad.

Wagner, Chico, Frankie Cocozza, Jedward, Rylan all worse than him.

Oh and that hideous duo of Gay men in Simon's category a few years back. Plus a dozen or so completely forgetable bands.

Are you seriously trying to say that Sam C is better than Leon? You are having a laugh

Rylan, Jedward, Wagner, Chico... but then again they were all proper joke acts who knew they wouldn't really be taken seriously. Sam C thinks he's actually a good singer and while the previous acts I mentioned did it to have fun, I get the impression that Sam is trying really, really hard to be the best and it's just not working. He's a joke but for all the wrong reasons. The joke is he's just crap and deluding himself into thinking he's a popastar.

He's not the worst but he's bland and at the risk of being a dullard

Well he was drastically better than Shelley so he's not even the worst this year, never mind ever.

I sort of agree with this, he's not novelty because he's just not entertaining and he's not that great a singer either. He does indeed think he is as well which is a bit of a turn off...he doesn't look like he's having fun. While I admire his dedication, he needs to have fun with it and be mad.

I don't think he's trying to be the"best" he repeatedly says he isn't.

He's trying to differentiate himself from the big singers but also improve his vocals which seems fair enough.

It's not the voice, they are looking for a pop act, in terms of seeking records he's probably more likely to do well then some of those more talented than him, as if always the case in pop music.

No way! He's the joint worst this year, but miles better than the worst of other years. Two words: Christopher. Malony.

I hated Chris but cannot deny that he was technically a better singer than Sam. Of course Sam has many other things going for him with his Charisma and fab body and looks, but a better singer than Chris? I don't think so.

Well I think he's one of the best this year. What does that say about the level of talent?

Nothing compared to the Tangoed crimson crooner who was doing it for Menan.

What do you think we are watching every week mediocre singers getting enhanced by production .

He's not a good singer. Mind you Robbie Williams isn't either. I wouldn't buy or listen to his stuff but some people do.

Mind you Luke isn't a lot better. Similar, average non-descript voices that are neither interesting nor too offensive to listen to. Sam was out of tune the first few weeks but that seems better now.

Sam C is becoming more unlikeable every week - I think it's his cockiness.

HIs voice is rubbish and running around the stage "performing" can't ever hide that fact.

I'm just finding him more annoying as time goes on - I think his head is so big he thinks his "fans" will carry him through to win.

Totally agree with this. I actually thought he was amongst the best last night and his vocals were fine certainly better a few last night. Overall he is clearly not a strong a singer as most of the others but I will vote from him than anyone else in the competition bar Luke if we take into account everything including likeability and star quality.

I understand that people have their favourites and want them to do well but that is no reason to nasty and rude about Sam just because in their opinion he is not better then their favourite.

Says less about the talent and more about your hearing

He's probably the least likeable contestant this year.

Deluded and arrogant beyond belief.

His screams of "I told you!" to Louis when getting through each week say it all really - and his parents reactions to Gary's comments.

Leon was terrible but even that (his worst performance in all of the live shows) was miles better than anything Sam has produced so far. The only thing Sam has over Leon is performance skills and even then Leon wasn't the worst for that.

Err everyone on the show seems to like him. No mentions of any diva behaviour unlike other contestants

He has asked for help and advice from the other judges and has said on air that he does have the strongest voice

Parents support son - that's what all parents do

The "I told you" was done once and is about staying positive

So most of what you said is wrong or at least not based on any known facts

He managed to talk out of tune last night.

Draw your own conclusion.
