Don't hold you breath for any apologies I suspect they will be thin on the ground.

Do you think so?Personally I dont think that will be the case, anyhow they will find a different excuse to bash her with.

Fiona & Anton probably stop frequently for a cup of tea.

6 hours training with Anton may well mean 2 hours of actual dancing. Where 6 hours training with the terminator will mean 5 hours dancing.

Fgs she's ill and you still find an excuse to criticise her. Doesn't matter what she does someone will still find something, people complain that she's finding it hard, people would probably complain if she said it was easy and accuse of her having a big ego, she can't win.

I hope she gets well soon, she's a fabulous dancer and I always look foward to her performances.

No she isn't which is what I eluded to, Natalie is pushing herself too hard, but at her age she should be able to cope......!

Exactly she is in a no win situation. If the worse happens and she has to pull out of the show there will be lot of humble pie consumed.

But you don't know what's wrong with her, do you? (Nor do I). Perhaps she's got flu. Who knows? Best not pass judgement, eh?

But as no one knows either her medical history or if she is suffering from an underlying condition that has caused this to happen perhaps speculation should be avoided....

Exactly, no ones know what is wrong at this stage.

The problem Natalie has, is people's expectations are naturally higher for her because of her previous experience. Perfectly understandable.

Best wishes to her & hope she's fit & well pronto.

Nice try but that is never going to happen.

If there's one thing we on this board are truly expert at it's wild, provocative, dubious speculation.

LOL....that's why I have hardly posted this year....it's got so vitriolic!

I just think when it's a health issue some respect should be shown...

Just wondering if the headlines about her being a trained dancer are affecting Natalie. Wouldn't be the biggest shock if she decided to pull out as she will doubtless get more flack the closer she gets to the final. I think the perception that she's got an unfair advantage will stop her winning as it did with Denise last year so might she welcome an excuse to drop out now?

John Barrowman probably didn't help either by saying on ITT last night that she would be out within the next couple of weeks cause she is not popular with the public. If she heard that, I can imagine that was probably the final straw if she was feeling a bit deflated in the first place. I feel she is put under far too much pressure.

According to an earlier entry in the same blog, she also fainted on the Sunday after the quickstep, which was the same week as the back problem. Perchance painkillers were/are to blame?

He's very stupid if he actually believes that!

Firstly how does he know she is unpopular with the public?

Secondly, even if that was the case, if she was ever in the dance off, the judges would ALWAYS save her over whoever else she would be competing against. Even if it was someone very good, like Abbey or Sophie, they would still save Natalie, no doubt about it, because she is the best of all.

There is no way Natalie is leaving the competition before the final (unless she chooses to pull out, or has to for medical reasons).

Sounds probable, painkillers can certainly make you feel as if you are on another planet.

My mum was once on strong painkillers for a back injury, and she said she felt as if she was looking at everything through a long tunnel.

And on one occasion she was at the supermarket and felt as though she was about to faint. She actually stopped taking them after that, against the doctor's advice, because she said the experience was so frightening.

Also severe pain can make you feel faint, so it could even be the back injury itself that caused it.

I hope she's eating and drinking properly.

MRI? I hope it's just precautionary! I had a lot of MRI scans done in my life because of my cancer. Not the most pleasant experience.

I have fainted twice in a day for no apparent reason when I had many rounds of chemo and radiotherapies, and did the MRI on my brain to ascertain that it wasn't caused by some kind of brain tumour. Thank goodness in the end it was just because I was quite weak because of the lack of apetitte (sp?), and my blood pressure was often lowish (lower than 'normal' range).

The VT said the medic told Natalie to eat and drink. Maybe she was so preoccupied of nailing her performance she wasn't eating or drinking enough (or at all!) on Saturday???

Sorry to throw speculations like this.

Thanks for the link - an insightful blog. Yes the training has to fit around all their other usual activities & energy levels & fitness are going to fluctuate. Remember also she is a woman with usual cycles that can impact on physical & mental strength.

The blog also highlights the tremendous amount of effort the professionals put in - designing the choreography, the staging, music, lighting, the training plus preparing for the group dancing etc.

What has her age got to do with anything ? If she has flu or food poisoning for example I can't see her age being an advantage to recovery.

By the way, if you are going to post fatuous nonsense, at least spell it correctly.
