It's the special logo I designed for Natalie's knockers.

Hope they like it.
Knockers! Now I see it. You cheeky mare!

I never take any notice of unnamed sources, regardless of who they are commenting on. If you can link quotes from other dance teachers who confirm they have given Abbey training and are happy to stand by their statement by being named, fair enough.

Until then, yes I will continue to be selective when reading any opinion-based 'news' article, I will continue to regard attached photographs with suspicion - for example, are they out of context and/or chronological sync. You can continue to swallow if you wish, but I prefer to be more objective, especially when it comes to UK tabloids *spits*
I haven't 'swallowed' anything and I wasn't the one linking or selective quoting from the tabloid article.

I just think more was involved in choreographing/teaching dance for that group she was part of than just one dance teacher - and I I don't need to have 'proof' or links for that. I wouldn't expect an Abbey supporter to agree with me though.

Having lessons AFTER being invited on to the show is perfectly legitimate - and actually I am appalled that they don't all have enough respect for the show to do it.

People choose to believe the tabloids when it suits them especially on DS. I suspect if it was Natalie it would be a diffferent matter.
Sure would imo if it was the other way around. I bet Len does not repeat his claim last night if she has had training.

I'd be signing up the minute the ink was dry on the contract.

I would also then be able to say I hadn't danced before Strictly and be technically correct

Actually remember Zoe Ball getting flack for doing similar?

Some people sure, but I don't think it is restricted to any particular celeb's set of fans.

Obviously Natalie and Abbey being consistently at the top of the show performance-wise, will cause them to be talked about more than some others - positively or negatively - but everyone gets it to some degree.

The only selecting I did was to look for a quote from someone who was actually named and not some 'mysterious source'.

I am an Abbey supporter, but that is incidental. I have reacted no differently to the way I have to 'insider' claims that Natalie is "desperate to win" and "Patrick is a diva". It's drivel that deserves nothing but our utter scorn and dismissal.

That's because in those days, Strictly was still looked upon as that innocent little show that took complete novices (like Jill Halfpenny - ha!) and taught them to dance and even a few gormless sessions at primary school, galumphing about the hall doing country dancing were viewed with suspicion.

Re: the rest of your post - I would too.
In fact, ballroom, AT, Latin, ballet, acting, pottery, synchronised swimming, Swahili - whatever I had time for, I'd do it!

So what if it was named? You still presented it as if that was the only training that Abbey could have had. The point is we don't know and probably never will and we're not going to find out from just one quoted source.

Are you mad? I clearly did not.

I re-quoted the only person named in the article (and yes, that has more credible basis for me than an 'insider' or 'source').

Do I speculate? No, I actively go out of my way NOT to speculate. However, since you like to, perhaps you could speculate this for me. It's been known since the launch show that Abbey was briefly in a girl band and it's been assumed that involved some dancing. Want to speculate why the only thing anyone has been able to dig up that related to this period in her life, is from a teacher saying 'sure, I taught her how to move between microphones, but I didn't give her dance training'?

Erm I think you did and no I'm not 'mad' thank you very much and I'd be grateful if you didn't make such a personal comment as it goes completely against the terms and conditions of the forum and does your argument no favours at all! I also find your tone very patronising.

You speculate all you like but I'm not going to take the quote of just one dance teacher as gospel.

Though the Gospels, like the teacher's comment about moving between the microphones, are attributed to named sources. Anything else is apocryphal and not to be trusted to the same degree as an authored opinion or recollection of personal experience -- especially not in a tabloid.

Well....the Sun seems to like printing pictures of her in slutty dresses. I can't believe she didn't know she was posing for those so I think she's desperately working the gutter press for popularity...strikes me as quite sad really.

My daughter, who is a celeb follower, told me a few weeks ago Abby has had private dancing lessons as she's so desperate to get near the winning post.

Seems like she might have a lot of money (well, half shares of a lot of money) but quite an empty life.

Yes I know the 'source' is named - I don't need to be patronised any further thanks.

As I said before I don't believe that's the whole picture. You can if you wish.

Agree! My daughter has exactly 5 hours dance training each week. I think the 30 hours training wouldn't teach you much, but prepare you. Some people also can't pick up choreography. You can't teach that!

Yet you believe the so-called 'source'?

When Julien was on the show he was at the top of the 'training hours' table with Natalie, putting in 30 hours a week. We all now how much good that did him

I said what the 'source' said was interesting....I don't disbelieve what the named teacher source said by the way...I just don't think it's the whole picture.

Only people who are salivating to believe it. The usual brigade in other words.

Taking lessons AFTER being invited is in no way cheating or anything else derogatory. It is smart and shows respect for the show.
If anything, the ones who cannot dance and do NOTHING to develop a basic rhythm or even how to put one foot in front of the other are the ones who should be criticised.
