Why are they trying to turn Tamera into a ballad singer?
This is ridiculous. In the last three weeks all she's done are ballads and whilst she did give great performances it didn't feel like her at all. I very much doubt this is the type of artist Tamera wants to be, so why are they making her out to be this ballad singer when she is so much more than that
![]() Her week 1 performance is what changed my mind about her. I was impressed and she needs to go back to that. I thought we were going to get a moment like Alexandra's Candyman this week but she didn't give me that. |

They are just inviting Leona/ Alex/Rebecca comparisons and maybe people just think she has nothing new to offer or lacks originality. Also, Sam Bailey has ticked all the big voice boxes it would seem. Add to that Tamera is a young girl you would think they could present her as one. |

Weeks 3-5 are good performances but the songs aren't bringing out her strengths.

To prove she can sing? Perhaps producers think that's what gets votes.

She should have done it last week and I think she might be in trouble again tonight

Well she wants to be Beyoncé clearly but as we have one already she'll have to be somebody else.
We don't want another Rihanna. It's going to be hard for her to find where her talent actually lies. Leona Lewis has found her own niche but I don't see Tamera anywhere really. She needs to hurry up and decide what she wants to be else she'll just be another down the tube. |

I think they're trying a bit too hard with her. Yes she's a vocalist, but she is no vocal powerhouse. She should be focusing on finding her niche which are uptempos and I think it'll really help her stand out from the likes of Hannah, Abi and Sam Bailey who are quite limited in what they can do. I don't think Sam Bailey is capable of pulling off full on choreography but Tamera has promise.

The show doesn't do modern or edgy.... it's "ballids", pop or merchandise they're looking for.

Didn't she do ballads all through the audition process?

I don't think she has it in her to perform full on uptempo numbers, I actually don't think she'd look comfortable doing choreo etc.
I did think they would go down the Alexandra route with her and get her doing uptempo's too, but maybe she isn't capable of it. |
