Just a reminder DON'T POST WHO GOES unless you put it either in the official spoiler thread or put Spoiler in the title. As there are FM's on here who like to watch the results "live" and don't wish to know.

And to all FM's if you see a spoiler thread just report it don't post in it as you're then bumping it which means more people can see it.

Agree. Sadly I suspect there are some FMs who on seeing this will do just the opposite for spite.

I agree and applaud the OPs effort and sentiment but think this mornings spoilsport had intent in his/her actions. Its kind of sad when you think about it. If life is so empty that you have to derive 'fun' from spoiling it for others its rather pitiful. .

I couldn't connect to DS a little while ago - it said there were server problems, so maybe the mods are tied up elsewhere?

I agree. I didn't want to post on that thread, to try to get it off the front page, but I've recently decided to stop looking at the spoilers for a while to try to enjoy the surprise with the people I'm watching it with on Sunday. Only to look at Ds this morning and see it as one of the top threads this morning. Disappointed.

Unfortunately this particular poster will not listen as she is doing it deliberately. We have been complaining to the mods all morning to no avail. We have also tried posting on other threads to bring them to the top so these particular threads with unmarked spoilers disappear off the front page (there are 3 of them). Unfortunately people keep posting on them and bringing them back up to the top of the page. The worst one is the thread with the spoiler in the title which was on page 2 but someone brought it back up to the top.

And PLEASE could people stop posting their outrage to that damned thread! I've been sending private messages to forum members to let them know what they've done, although I suspect it won't do any good.

I do like to see the spoilers, but then made some general comments last night in other threads.
I took a great deal of care to make sure I did not put in the spoiler, or comment that the dancer whom the thread was about would be dancing next week.

As others have said, most of us have courtesy about not ruining other peoples enjoyment - but you cannot stop the morons.

I assume the person who posted the spoiler also parks in a disabled bay when shopping, and lets their dog poop on other peoples front lawns.

I agree she did it with intent as she's posted it in her own thread and then 2 other threads.

A few, "No result yet" posts before adding often personal exchanges, would be of help to those who want to know who's out but don't want to read all the unrelated stuff that many like to post and some others enjoy.

I think you did good. I find it quite heart-warming when despite the fact that we often disagree (not you and I OP - posters in general) posters come together and try to act in tandem to stop the experience of others being spoiled.

If you think about it its a difficult thing for people to try to coordinate an action in this way and an altruistic thing too.

I take comfort in the goodness of most people that they even try.

The mods are not responding today. They must be inundated with complaints about this idiot who calls herself COLGIRL. I could think of a better name.
I am disappointed in the mods lack of reaction to what must be an avalanche of complaints and nothing has been done.

I am disappointed with the mods as well. Normally they are quite good even on a Sunday morning but this has been going on for nearly 3 hours!!!

What is also concerning is, whilst in the great scheme of things, Colgirl's posts are inoffensive but irritating, any posts that were obscene, upsetting or offensive, would still be there for hours.

I think that some FMs do it on purpose

I need a stiff drink at Sunday lunch after all this spoiler palava. First it's one person, then another, then someone spoils the result, the ensuing melee and the vitriol towards the mods. I love this forum, it's great.
