If Sam and Abi keep getting through...
comment
10-11-2013
If Abi and Sam C keep getting through over the remaining contestants, will they have the Chris Maloney treatment?

When Chris was getting through there was a lot of anger from the public, it's clear online that they are getting more hate than love, just look at the X factor Facebook page, the majority of the hatred is for Abi and Sam C.

If they keep getting through, will it stop any chance of success after the show?

And no, this isn't a hate thread I'm just wondering if it will be better for them to leave sooner rather than later.

Why would people write hate on two kids that are just trying to achieve their dream of making it in the Music business?
There's some sad people out there if all they do is this

As for them getting through week after week then they've obviously got more people voting for them than there are hating on them ,If people are getting themselves so worked up over a manipulated TV show that they are writing hate about two 19 year old kids on the X-Factor FB Page ,then they need to go and have a serious word with themselves ,

Good post. I agree. I can see a hate campaign being formed, to get Sam C and Abi out, if they make it through to next week. EG - that campaign, trying to get that Dave bloke out of Stritcly Come Dancing. A hate campaign would be sad and low in my opinion.

Abi had her moment of redemption last week and has been targeted this week. If things go as planned, she will be escorted out with some dignity.

Sam, however... given that Gary seems pissed at his remarks at the press (or so it seems; Dannii seemed to hate Jedward 4 years ago after the Lucie thing, but when the twins went to Oz, she even took a photo with them), could be tackled into submission (imagine next week when Gazza performs and Sam leaves: double kill).

As for post-show success, the show's edit of them is on pace to blackball them from significant success.

I fail to see how Abi should be put in the same bracket as Chris Maloney and Sam Callahan?

I know shes not the best in the competition, but shes far from the worst too

I agree with above comment abi is quirky and a musician see I would rate her top 5 over people like Luke and Hannah

Abi is more marmite, a lot of people do like her,Sam Callahan is a bad singer and very few people will disagree with that

The thing is, no one's making them sing out of tune each week or lack charisma.

It doesn't mean these contestants deserve to be treated like Chris Maloney did, with hate campaigns. Even if you think Sam C and Abi are not the best singers in the competition, they wouldn't deserve a hate campaign. People who spread hate, take these things far too serious. It is just a competition, not a matter of lie, or death.

She's one from the worst, only Callahan is less talented than her. So, it would seem reasonable to bracket Alton and Callahan together. As for Orange Chris, on a good day, he can really sing - which puts him into a whole different league to the Abi.

I wasn't aware of any hate campaigns going on. Link?

Read what the Original Poster has said. I consider leaving nasty comments on someone's own Facebook, or Twitter account hateful. There is no need to leave nasty comments on someone's own account. I find it distasteful

Also, there is a campaign to make Dave from Strictly leave, which I consider hateful.

I did read it. There's no mention of people leaving hateful messages on anyone's personal account, just the general FB page. I've had a quick scan (people still use FB?)and all I've read on there is people having an opinion about someone who has yet to sing in tune during the live shows. No hate there, just honest opinions.

The poster isn't on about now though, the poster is on about if it gets to the stage if Sam C and Abi survive tonight. Comments may end up being nastier and vicious, while people could create campaigns, like the one the public has created for Dave on Strictly Come Dancing.

Well, none of us have crystal balls have we? Who knows, maybe Abi will manage to stay another week and somehow find it within herself to sing a whole 90 second song in tune? You know, like professional singers do.
