Reporting Open Cabinets
I've just passed an open BT cabinet on my street so I thought I'd do the right thing and report it to BT. After fighting with the IVR I finally got through to someone who didn't want to know. Apparently I would need to call another number after 9am tomorrow. On asking him if he could log it and report it he said not and I would have to. BT aren't interested in damage to their own network! Totally ridiculous!

did you phone BT or did you phone Openreach?
It should have been Openreach you reported it to. If you phoned BT then you might as well have phoned TalkTalk, as they have nothing to do with the street cabinets. |

From what I can see the easiest/only way to contact Openreach about cabinet damage is via online form

As above, report it to Openreach on line. I did this when a number of cabs were daubed with graffiti. Despite the fact that it was only cosmetic, it was dealt with really quickly
