To be fair, I don't believe at any point in the series Dave allowed a sequence of moves to flow into the following sequence. He seemed to frequently deliver the part of the routine Karen had taught him, and then have to recall what came next before he continued to dance.

As I suggested in another thread, perhaps Len's response was motivated by Mark having put in far fewer hours of training than Dave.
