Yet another sub-standard Pro Dance to open Results Show :-(
La Rhumba

When they stood posing in those costumes I thought, 'Are they air hostesses, are they doing a Pan Am tribute?'

The entire routine was danced like a group exercise class, with the obligatory lifts at the end.

When I think back to the spectacular Rememberance Sunday Swing routines we've enjoyed in past years, or memories of wartime with 40s style Ballroom dances dressed beautifully with matching hairstyles of the era.

But this year we got a mish mash of tosh, in keeping with most of the other substandard Pro Ensemble routines we've seen this series.

What a terrible shame.

Standards have really slipped.

I found it extremely imaginative and entertaining. What a great pro group. Brilliant.

Some will love it, others will hate it.

Yes, I was very disappointed that we didn't see more of Anton. As soon as the camera picks him up it very quickly moves elsewhere. Can't understand why?

That song always reminds me of Matt and Charlotte doing a 'Broadway' dance to it.

I thought it was one of the best this series.

Mind they have been pretty uniformly DIRE.

And absolutely NOTHING on Remembrance dances in the past.

It's a shame.

Didn't think much of Janetta's whatever it was aerialist stuff either.

Sad.

The Puccini Sisters try to emulate the Andrews Sisters and fail. They can get the harmonies wrong sometimes.

The Puccinis will be singing that quite frequently.

This is how it should sound.

But as I said elsewhere, I think the band singers would have done a better job.

It sort of tied in with Remembrance Day.

Costume and music were just a rip-off of Chelsee and Pasha's QS.

I've just made myself miserable looking at some fantastic pro group dances of the past.

This year they don't compare.

I totally agree. The Pro Dances were the highlight of Strictly in past years. It's the choreography that is so awful this year, save for one beautiful dance by Aliona & Aljaz wearing white. Who choreographed that, I don't know, maybe olive does? But it was certainly beautifully danced and choreographed.
It stands out like a jewel in this year's fare, I'm afraid.

Yes they have slipped into the theatre and stage world..... again its those damn producers, trying to appeal to the masses again.......!

Isn't Jason Gilkinson from Burn the Floor choreographing them? That's why he's got a title on the credits this year and on his twitter mentioning Strictly regularly? Probably why they have become more theatrical if so.

Jason Gilkinson is on the Australian version of DWTS this season. These PRO routines all seem to have something missing. This one looked like some of it was taken from the SYTYCD one. They should let some of the newer PROs do some of the choreography. Would love to see Pasha and Anya choreography again.

I read that he's on the Australian DWTS but he still seems to be involved with SCD - https://twitter.com/JasonGilkison he gets a credit every week.

It was Bill Deamer who choreographed it. Natalie used to choreograph amazing routines, I'd like to see Pasha and Anya choreograph too.

Didnt Artem, Robin and Kristina choreograph some pro dances in the past.

This is my favourite pro dance

Fabulous - different league to what we're being offered at the moment.

The pro dances have been rubbish this year but tonight's was a delight. It was a classy yet fun-filled Charleston and I enjoyed it very much.

I'm not keen on the modern, commercial dancing (or whatever it's called) that the pros have been doing lately though. I want some proper traditional stuff again like the good old days!

Ooh thanks Hannah, that's gorgeous - what year is it from?

This is another one which never fails to make me smile

Not watched tonight's show yet, but I have been so disappointed by most of the pro dance choreography this year, except as someone said above Aljaz/Aliona's one which was sublime.

Does anyone think there is a way we can successfully point this out to the show??

I love Anya and Pasha choreographing for their celeb partners (although Pasha has disappointed slightly this year) so I would love to see them choreographing together again for the pros.

I wish the pro dances would be more strictly ballroom, at the moment, although they have a lot of ballroom elements they are more of a showdance with fancy lifts.
