Craig's marking of Ben - Salsa = 9 Jive =4 ??

Do you think Craig is trying to atone for his ridiculous 9 score for Ben's salsa?

As far as I could see, the jive had more content than the salsa and was danced in the same stompy-footed way except Craig decided to come to give it a lower mark. Do you think he regretted the 9 score for the salsa-less salsa?

Yes, but he can blame the painkillers

Yes, good point!

Just for accuracy's sake, he gave Ben's salsa an 8.

Didn't Craig give the Salsa an 8?

Anyway, I know that's not your point. But I do think his Salsa was much better than their Jive.

The four was a more astute assessment than the eight.

It's ridiculous. There wasn't much difference in quality at all - presumably he just got less points this week for keeping his clothes on!

Apologies, I felt sure he scored it a 9

Ben stood there and looked pretty during his Salsa, so received a high mark. He attempted to dance in his jive and was marked down for dancing poorly.

Moral of the story: if you can't dance, don't. Distract the judges in some way without looking too awkward and you'll probably receive decent enough marks.

My completely unproven conspiracy theory is that Craig was deliberately mean and low marking to Ben and Fiona in a ploy to get Dave booted out. It was quite likely both Ben and Fiona would end up in danger territory for DO. They may well have gained some sympathy votes for Craig's undermarking and harsh comments. In comparison he was quite bland and uncontroversial about Dave's dance and, hey presto, Dave's in the DO and gone

This is utterly unfair on Ben and the effort he puts into his performances.

You didn't mention that he was dressed as a greased-up, sexy mechanic!

The only good thing about Craig's marking is that he does use the full the range of numbers. If only he would use them at he right time!

Craig marks low, knowing Len over marks.

I'd say it's the other way around!
