Glasgow chosen as host city for the 2014 MTV EMA's
The newly opened SSE Hydro in Glasgow has been chosen to host the 2014 MTV European Music Awards. This will be the fifth time the United Kingdom have hosted and the second time Scotland has hosted after Edinburgh in 2003.
2014 is looking to be a very good year for Glasgow with this and The Commonwealth Games. What are your thoughts on this? I am over the moon. |

Good for Glasgow to get it, but this event has really slipped down the pecking order. Tonights show has barely made the news, and I can even see a DS thread about it, whereas back in its heyday it was big news and MTV UK's biggest rating of the year.

Yeah it is great for the city, we had it in belfast 2 years ago and the place was buzzing the entire week of the ema's. Although I agree the award show itself has slipped, the last good ema's was 2006,ever since then it's been downhill, such a boring show and Redfoo as the host last night was awful!
