“Daly has now revealed that she was sitting "only a few feet away" from Gumede when she fell, recalling how her "legs twisted the wrong way" and "her eyes [started] rolling".

"It was actually really shocking to witness," she wrote in her Yahoo! blog. "She was dancing full pelt during an incredibly energetic jive at the time.

"She literally collapsed in a heap, legs twisted the wrong way under her with her head thrown right back and her eyes rolling. Luckily her professional partner Artem was on hand quick as a flash to catch her and break her fall.

"She was immediately attended by on-set medics. Let's just hope that she's back to full health and on her dancing feet very soon."”

Yeah, my mum was terrified when I fainted once in a day when was poorly. She said one moment I was alright, the next my eyes rolled and my legs buckered and I went crashing down in a heap. When I came around (apparent a few minutes later), in order to calm her down, I pretended to laugh at myself for being stupid.

My mum told me it was the most distressing thing to witness someone fainting and my heart goes out to Natalie. I think she worked so hard that she forgot to eat and drink (maybe she was too stressed to get the routine right). Blood sugar level dropped and she fainted? I hope that's just the case and nothing more insidious (like a brain tumour)...

Just waiting to see what her detractors make out of this.

Poor Nat, sounds pretty awful but then to be accused of faking it by all and sundry must be pretty hurtful too.....

On the prior occasion when she fainted (back in practice after QS weekend) she mentioned being "delirious" because of the pain killers. ...

They probably move to another thing to criticise her for, like she a thief.

Yep, just wondering how many of her naysayers will take that as gospel.

I think she was seeing a doctor today, wasn't she? Let's hope that it's good news, and she'll be fit and well very soon, and able to take part this weekend.

Much as I'd liked to see her back in the competition though, her health must come first.

She's already been given an all clear and is training today.

Oh, that's good news.

Although I don't vote for Natalie, the show would be poorer without her.

Indeed. What are her remaining ballroom dances? I know she's done waltz, VW and QS. So perhaps a less intense dance, like Foxtrot? But knowing them, they will NOT take the easy route...

She has got the AS, Foxtrot and Tango left as ballroom dances

I feel like Natalie has done the American Smooth three times already so I'm surprised to hear it's on her remaining list of dances. But I'm very glad she's cleared and okay I hope we see her jive one day. Maybe there'll be some in her showdance.

I know Artem is always a tough taskmaster, but he needs to think seriously about this and not push her too far.

From the dress rehearsal footage just before she collapsed, it seemed as though there were some of those "Natalie Lowe" style head spins in the jive (don't know what they're called) - not a good idea I imagine, if you're still a bit fragile.

Natalie and Artem definitely need to take Darcey's wise advice to heart. They can surely showcase Natalie's ability and style in a less demanding way.

This. I also think Artem should be creative enough to show off Natalie without stretching her to the limit. But then again, whatever moves Artem gave her, if she has that perfection streak in her she might keep going on and on perfecting her moves anyway... So I am not sure how Artem is going to help Natalie in that sense?

i completely agree. i am pleased that its nothing serious, but i'm slightly frustrated than any professional in 'showbiz' should somehow be unable to recognise or manage their own state of tiredness/exhaustion to such an extent. the first rule of performing is that you go on!

it would be different if she'd had some virus or something that you can't predict, or (god forbid) some dreadful exacerbation of her back problem caused by dancing on painkillers. but lack of sleep and over doing it is really not a very satisfactory state of affairs to allow to happen.

i am really not surprised some people might be a bit peed off, either viewers or contestants.

Maybe she is confused about conflicting advice....was it not Darcey (or one of the other judges) who the following week told Artem he had to push Natalie more

I think it was Len who said that to Artem last week
